7 Gavin opened his eyes, immediately noting several unusual details. First, he was outside, laying on a blanket which did nothing to keep the cold and rough ground beneath it from penetrating every part of the right side of his body. Second, the delicious fact that his front was curled protectively around Adele’s smaller, curvy body, a soft, rounded part of her pressed intimately against him. They had started lying close to the fire, both under the blanket he traveled with, on the one she owned, and as the flames burned themselves out and the temperature had dropped, they had sought each other for warmth.
