Josh couldn’t believe his eyes when he’d turned to find Delaney smiling up at him just an hour or so ago. At first, he though he’d grown delusional; he’d spent so much time thinking about her over the last week or so—had he finally begun to imagine that other women were her? Of course, he realized rather quickly that he was not hallucinating, and it was the real Delaney standing before him. He was still shocked, however, as she explained what had brought her to Taylor Tree Farm, and while he was ecstatic to have the opportunity to spend some time with her, he was definitely caught off guard.
