I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, a pain so sharp that my eyes shot open and my body lifted up from the bed I was lying in.
But then I felt even more pain, and I fell back onto the soft bed.
I gasped for breath, trying to remember why I was feeling so much pain, but was startled by Whati’s green eyes staring at me, wide open.
He looked shocked, clearly, and suddenly, he jumped up.
My eyes followed him as he ran out of the room.
Though I was wondering why he ran out, I was soon reminded of the sharp pain in my stomach as I tightly hugged myself.
I tried to cry out, but the more I tried, the more it hurt. So I gave up.
Strangely enough, the pain disappeared moments later.
And another moment later, I saw Whati run back into the room with two nurses that I had never seen before.
