"Please don't tell the general dear. Patrick has already taken care of that stupid guard." Inez begged.
I sighed then touched the burning bruises on my neck. It truly was a gift to have them. And more so because I got them as a result of helping the prince.
"I won't say a word to the general. So please be at ease." I whispered softly.

I agreed not to say a word to general Paul and I kept my word perfectly well. He came to pick me up in his carriage and I said nothing.
The whole way I was silently gazing at the beautiful sky, while he sat opposite me going through a few scrolls. My neck and face were nicely covered with a veil and a cloth.
