3. Awakening

Sandy's p.o.v

"Do you think she will be okay?" A woman's voice asked in a whisper.

"I don't know, at first I thought they were just playing that's why I didn't interfer in time." A deep man's voice answered.

I slowly opened my eyes slightly while yarwning.

"She's awake." The woman said loudly.

"Cut it out already. I need to rest!" I yelled then turned and faced the other side.

Why were the servants in my room while I was still asleep. They knew how much I hated to be woken up.

"Young lady, can we talk to you for a minute?" The man asked.

"No." I answered frankly.

"It will only take a few minutes." The woman said softly.

I groaned loudly then sat upright.

"Really you people, can't you just let me sleep?" I asked on top of my voice.

They woman who I couldn't see clearly because of the blinding sunlight on my face moved to the window and pulled the curtains together.

"Is that much better?" She asked Softly.

"Yes." I answered with a smile then frowned when I noticed that the curtains weren't mine.

Mine had my favourite actor and crush, Chris hemsworth, not a stupid dragon.

I quickly turned and looked at the walls which had beautiful paintings of flowers.

I looked at the bedsheet which was pure silk then at the woman who was smiling at me.

"What is this?" I asked loudly.

I was a little sacred but a part of me knew very well that it was my parents doing. They really wanted to cheer me up, since yesterday they screwed up badly.

"Dear calm down." The woman whispered then moved closer and sat next to me.

She really was beautiful, her black hair was tired In a neat burn and she wore a silk long dress. Her skin was flawless too. She looked exactly like those woman I had read in a book who had a higher status.

"Fine I'm calm. I get it that my parents paid you a lot of money to act like my favorite characters in the book. But tell them this, I'm not interested and I won't easily Forgive them. I can't believe that they druged me, just to set me up in this stupid room which by the way isn't exactly like the ones I had read in the past." I spat then sat upright.

"Do you think she must have hit her head?" The woman asked the man.

"It's possible." The man answered then moved closer.

I quickly jumped out of the bed. Almost stumbling.

"General Paul!" I screamed out in shock.

The man frowned then looked at his wife.

"So you do know me?" He asked Softly.

Yes I did. I knew his name and face from the drawing in the books. He was the respected martial art general who served Richard. He had no child because his wife was barren, but he still loved her so much that he refused to take a second wife.

"Wow, I should really compliment you sir on your cosplay. You have really nailed the actual drawing of him. I feel like I'm in the presence of the real general Paul" I said in nearly a scream while half panting.

The woman shook her head and moved closer to the man. I watched as she whispered something in his ear.

"Dear...."

"I'm sorry to interrupt you lady, but can I get this man's autograph?. Please, his costume is amazing and he really does look like the general. I know you might be surprised with how I'm acting right now because at first I was a total b***h. Please forgive me and let's start all over. Hi my name is Sandy and you are?" I asked quickly without taking a breath.

I usually did that whenever I was freaking out or over excited.

I coughed loudly then took in a deep breath. Damn that's how happy I was that I forget to breath.

"Sandy dear, I think you should sit down. You aren't well." The woman said softly.

"Of course I'm not. Do you even know how much I adore you guys. I love general Paul so much. He was the strongest martial art leader and trusted right hand of Richard. In all......"

"Enough!" The man yelled with a voice that made me cower in fear.

What the hell, he was just a cosplay actor. Why then was he scaring me.

"I think I know now who she is, she's a spy from another kingdom sent to spy on us. We need to kill her." The man said seriously as I smiled.

They were true professionals, despite all I had said, they went on acting like it was nothing. 

"No dear, look at her. The poor girl has obviously lost her mind." The lady answered.

"Yes I have, I'm just so happy to meet the two of you." I said quickly.

"Then how does she know a lot of information about us, like how I'm the right hand of the emperor?" He asked.

"My lord, everyone in our kingdom knows that you are the right hand of the new emperor. They also know that you are the best in martial art." The woman answered in a respectful tone.

I couldn't hold myself back, I was giggling loudly and clapping lightly.

"Can you please adopt me." I said loudly.

They both looked at me seriously.

"I'm joking. But I seriously adore you two so much." I said softly.

"Aww, look at how happy she is to meet us." The woman said with a gentle smile.

"You will never change Lisa, you always have a weak spot for children." The man answered then turned and left the room.

"Where is he going? Has the script ended?" I asked curiously.

"Dear, I don't really understand what you mean by that. But for now how about I help you take a bath?" She asked.

"Yes. I would love that." I answered Softly.

She held my hand and Walked with me outside the room. I kept on smiling when we walked into the beautiful painted passage.

My heart was calm and I wasn't mad at my parents anymore. They went to such lengths to make me happy, even hiring the best actors and best place that looked like the one I had read about.

We made a turn to our left and came out of the house. Ahead there was a pool design that looked like a spring.

"That's a lovely pool you have." I whispered softly.

"You love the spring?" She asked.

I glanced at her then nodded. Well there was no game in going with the script too.

"Good, take off your gown and get in, I will be inside the house. No one comes at the back of the house to bath, so you can relax." She said.

"Thank you." I answered and waited for her to leave.

When she went inside the house, I quickly took off the gown and threw it down.

I winced in pain when my shoulder ached badly, I quickly touched there and looked my body.

I took in a deep breath and held in a scream. My body was covered in bruises everywhere.

I quickly rushed to the spring and looked in the water. A stranger was staring right back at me.

I touch my face as she did the same. I stood upright while breathing heavily.

"It's just a dream, I am panicking or maybe drunk." I whispered to myself then pinched my face over and over.

"There is just no way I'm a beautiful lady with black hair, I'm a brunette." I whispered then leaned in to look at myself again.

I held in my breath when I saw the same strangers reflection staring back at me. I smiled to make sure I wasn't hallucinating and the strangers reflection smiled back. I screamed on top of myself and fell in the water when I tried to step back.

I coughed and tried to swim back up but I couldn't. I coughed badly trying so hard to fight the pain I was experiencing. 

A lot of memories began to flash in my mind, the memories were of another lady. The lady looked exactly like the one I had seen in the water. The more the memories invaded my mind, the weaker I became.

I stopped trying to pull myself out of the water. As the memories got intense all I could do was accept the darkness that was slowly consuming me.
