Lila’s POV The private clinic looked more like a five-star resort than an actual hospital. When the armored SUV pulled up the winding, brick-paved driveway, I honestly thought the driver had taken a wrong turn. The grounds were covered in lush, perfectly manicured green lawns, blooming flower beds, and stone fountains that washed away the usual clinical depression of a medical facility. Navigating the hallways didn't involve breathing in that suffocating smell of bleach and old rubbing alcohol. Instead, the air was light, smelling faintly of lavender and fresh linen.
