CHAPTER THIRTEEN
HAZEL
I didn't stop running till I got to my room. The image of Darius torturing that man did not leave my head. A monster, that's what he is. Darius is a monster.
The only thing I could think of is to get the hell out of here. I'm sure he is not going to let it slide that I snuck into that torture room of his. I saw the fury in his eyes when our gaze collided. What is he going to do to me? Will he behead me just as he did that man?
I paced up and down the room, thinking of what to do when a knock came from the door, making me flinch and stop right on my track.
“Ma'am, is everything okay? I saw how you ran in.” I heard a masculine voice say. A sigh of relief escapes through me when I realized it wasn't Darius'.
It must be one of the guards that patrol the hallway
