I peeled out my ears, listening. Melissa? What was she doing there?
Why was she there? How did she get there? Was she also in the shopping mall? How the heck was it a coincidence that she happened to be at the same mall me and Darius were at?
Did she see us?
A pang of guilt hit my chest.
Or did she follow us on the road, into the boutique? Was she here to see me? Did she tell all those girls to leave because she wanted to tell me something?
“Just imagine the shitty makeup this girl just did. Is this what I'll look like on my wedding day? Impossible!” I heard the sound of water running, and waited for a long while hearing Melissa curse whoever helped her with her makeup.
