CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE
HAZEL
Aurora was with her dancing partner, twirling and gracing the dance floor.
I cleared my throat, “Shall—we?” I asked, a little hesitantly, my fingers feeling the need to fidget.
Darius gave his easy smile, and swept me off the floor in a dance. Dancing was new to me. I'd only watched it in movies, thinking it'd be easy to repeat the steps, but no. It was not.
It was as hard as a beginner walking on seven-inch heels.
Darius chuckled when I faltered, and went red.
“Difficult much?” He asked softly, with a smile.
“Well, maybe. I haven't really danced much, so it's unfamiliar.” I replied, keeping a wary eye on Aurora. “How about we move? That end looks beautiful.” I offered, chuckling awkwardly.
