Chapter 4
Elizabeth’s pov
I sat in the cold dungeon ground with my dress on. The previous hour, I was pacing back and forth angrily. After much contemplation I sat down and then broke down and now was seating on the cold cemented floor staring into nothing.
My face was a mess, I imagined. Having cried a river and robbed my cheek constantly, the little makeup I had on would have been ruined. My mascara in particular would have painted my face black.
In my messy face and my beautiful dress been placed on the floor, my mind raced with a million thought and worry, not for the dress and ruined makeup, all that did not matter to me, what mattered was the fact that my future was so hazy.
Sitting here and staring at the bars, looking through from the vertical space provided by the space between bars. I wondered about my life, here I sat on a cold bricked floor staring into nothing with no future.
I never imagined a place with no future for me. From little I had imagined my life, everything was planned, in order until all this.
My life wasn’t perfect and I most certainly did not paint
a perfect future but I did imagined a future where I fought beside mum and Dadd, imagined following them to battle covered in blood bath and groaning from pain, smiling as we made our way back victorious. Mother, father and daughter both returning victorious and then, the medics would run to us, welcoming us and saying thank you as they rally round the place trying to get us to safety and treating us with the bad people behind bars, deep Inside the dungeon.
An unknown chuckle left my mouth. Life couldn’t have taken a one eighty degree turn than this. Here I sat in the dungeon, crying, doing nothing, being nothing barely trying to get by by the day and wondering what my future would be like.
Another sobbed escaped my mouth, tears followed through. My life was over. The purpose of life was to have purpose and one without purpose is dead.
My head buried between my thighs, I thought of my parents, I missed them. Sniffing, I hummed a song to myself as I rocked myself slowly on the floor.
The jingling of metals drew my attention back to the dungeon, raising my head slowly, I stared at the guard unlocking the door to the dungeon.
Immediately, I shut up and walked forward. The door opened and the guard said, “the alpha has sent for you,” he announced.
My angry face was back on, and I shut him daggers with my eyes. He attempted to drag me along but I moved back and gave him a warning gaze.
Two guards were by my side as I made my way to the alpha’s chambers. That damn prick. Reaching the door, two guard pushed the door and open and I went inside grumpily.
The door shut behind me with the two guards standing inside. I saw Damien, wearing his tie, he wasn’t knotting it though, someone else was doing that for him, apparently he was too big to knot his own tie.
I was a mess, my mascara was soiled on my face along with the other makeup I had put on mixed with my tears, in the midst of this I still wore a very bored and soured expression, I wonder how I was looking but it wasn’t my fault that I had this expression currently on, it was this prick, Damien.
“Are you just going to call me in here and make me look at you as they dress you up?” I asked irritatingly.
He shut me a glare, one I was getting accustomed to. A warning glare, one I was really not adhering to. Why should I, this prick was full of himself.
“It seems as though you still haven’t learned how to speak,” he muttered, barely looking at me. Everything he did or said was always disrespectful.
“Well not everyone listens to you, the world doesn’t revolve around you,” I said.
They brought his suit, he spread out his hand and they wore him. I could not stop the chuckle that escaped me, my uncle, alpha Jude was a big pain in the ass, but even he hasn’t done this.
After they dressed him up like the child that he was, he walked towards me, grabbed me by the chin. Moved my face away swiftly but he caught it back and brought it furiously to his face.
“You should know that I don’t give two shits about you, what I’m saying is that, I could easily kill and nothing would happen,” he spoke calmly, but it was not a good calm or a peaceful one, it was calm accompanied by a raging storm, the calm that made me know that should I act recklessly, I would be caught up in a heavy storm that could have my head smashed against a rock.
Knowing all this, I still did not back down, I glared at him, withdrawing my chin furiously from his grasp. He thought I would submit like one of those little girls that his look and eye would scare away.
I looked into his eyes and for the first time I noticed something, his eyes were green, green like lush plants. I remembered vividly that his eyes were black on the day of my sending off, how was it now black, or was that his wolf?
“It occurred to me that you still haven’t learned to talk to someone with respect,” I retorted.
Guards were already looking at me, some taking their positions, getting ready to strike me at any given moment for speaking back and disrespecting their alpha.
But I was going to sit back and let a group of immature wolves pin me down. I was going to fight back, should anyone strike me, I would kill the person. I took my stance getting ready just in case.
All the while, Damien stayed quiet, he observed me and a little smirk played faintly on the corner of his lips, it got me wondering what he was thinking.
“Send for Mr. Andrew,” he said.
One of the guards bowed and left, everyone’s posture became relaxed and I began to worry. They were relaxed, this wasn’t looking so good, the last time something strange like this happened, I was being shipped to the dungeon.
I looked at their faces in confusion and slightly horror stricken. I was pushed further into the room.
“What are you planning on doing, whatever you’re planning on doing better stop,” I warned. He didn’t pay one single attention to me, just walked to his drawer and pulled out a silver wristwatch and started wearing it.
Looking around everyone was calm and then suddenly I heard footsteps followed by a light knock before the door was pushed open, the guard that left previously walked in with a man beside him, an aged man.
The man bowed, “alpha you sent for me.” Damien now turned to him
“Oh yes. I need you to be a chaperone to a wild little animal,” he said curtly.
I didn’t care about the previous aura around this place, but I couldn’t stand by and let this nobody insult me.
“What the actual f**k. How dare you refer to me as an animal, are you insane!” I yelled at him and everyone I meant everyone was gawking at me, they were back to their pouncing position but I did not care.
My parents did not raise me to be insulted by the stupid alpha.
He raised his hand and everyone relaxed. “This is the animal,” he pointed at me. “Make her one of your workers and incolgate in her respect and manners.”
“Wait, what? What does that mean?” I asked.
He walked up to me and stared deep into my soul, “I just gave you a position, kitty, you’re going to be an omega, a slave.”
The word resounded in my head, a slave?
