Amber's POV
I woke up cradled in Hawk's arms as we sat on the back porch swing. He was talking to someone.
"Do you think the powers will manifest soon?" I heard his voice ask as I opened my eyes to look at his handsome face.
"They may." I realized the voice belonged to Athens.
"She has powerful blood, likely a lot of powers will emerge at once." Mortou's voice hit my ears.
I moved sligthly, to see that Hawk's deep warm brown eyes looked at me. "Your awake." He smiled. The corners of his eyes wrinkled just enough to make my heart smile.
"What happened?" I groaned as I sat up a bit to see Mortou, Athens and Mato sitting in chairs nearby.
