Amber POV  After Hawk had did that demo and we practiced in front of the others. I noticed that there proud looks of the people in the pack as I went through the moves that Hawk and I had been working on. I felt accomplished for the first time ever. "You have picked up training very well." Mato praised me. "Thank you," I smiled "but, I have a great teacher." I glanced at Hawk to see him talking to a few of the others. "Indeed," Mato chuckled, "I am very proud of your progress." There was a fatherly air about they way Mato spoke. I just bowed my head and blushed as he was asked a question by one of his people. I looked around to see everyone, chatting and sparring. Smiles and laughter could be heard all around. This was so different from what had been my life. I was grateful they had found me. I felt a hand brush against the small of my back, while the familiar voice whispered, "you ok?" against my ear. Turning with a smile, I looked into Hawk's chocolate brown eyes. They were soft with a gentlness I knew that not his normal. "I am good." I smiled up at him. I was so lost in his eyes that I did not noticed how people started to leave the training grounds. "Did you want to eat?" Hawk drew my attention back to him. "Water would be great," I grinned following him up the back porch stairs and into the house. We grab waters, and a couple sandwiches from the snack fridge. Going back tot he back porch swing Hawk settled down next to me. I leaned my head on his shoulder as I look out at the field and trees in the distance. "What is the outside world like?" I asked him as he handed me the unwrapped sandwich. "It's colorful, beautiful and wild." He tilted his down as he told me that. "There many kinds of people and places that fill the senses. There is danger and violence if you look beneath the surface." He kissed the top of my head as he took a bite of his own sandwich. "I want to see the beauty, I have already seen the yuck." I muttered more to myself then anyone. I felt his chest rumble with laughter. "Ma Cháñte, you won't see anything but the beauty with me." He reached back grabbing my shoulder to pull me closer. I rested my head against the curve of his shoulder as we stayed quiet while we ate. I curled to his side while just looking out into the distance. I had never known such company. I wanted to be closer to him but I did not know how to say that. So, I wrapped arm around his middle. I felt his chest rumble, he closed his eyes. "Is that ok?" I asked. He opened his eyes, want, hunger and a softer emotion I had not seen. "It is." He grinned. Taking his other arm and pulling me on to his lap. "I want you closer," he murmured while his nose dipped down along my neck. "I don't understand this." He muttered a little flustered. "Is it.." I paused making my voice softer, "that you want to kiss me?" I offered quietly. "I do," He glanced at me. "I had a dream about us kissing," his words whispered in my ear. I could feel my body come alive. "You dreamt of us kissing?" I peeked up to see he was watching something intently. "I did," his dark chocolate colored eyes looked down to mine. "I was hungry for you. In a way I don't know." "Why don't we go for a walk then," I mentioned slowly untangling my self. I didn't want to. But, it was getting to intense. "Yes, a walk from prying eyes would be good." I followed Hawk's gaze to find Dex staring at us intently. "Why is he watching us?" I looked up at Hawk. "I am pretty sure he wants you." Hawk all but growled. I grabbed his hand. Wrapping my other around his arm I leaned into him. "But, I am safer with you." I hugged. I seen him look down at me a small grin on his lips. "Indeed," He chuckled. Sliding his arm out if my grasp, I felt my heart drop, until he snaked his arm around me to pull me closer to him while we walked past Dex. We walked into the woods, moving through the trees quietly enjoying the serenity. There was no plan on where to go anywhere, just walking. We wandered a while. The sun was starting to go down, as Hawk turned me around and we went back toward the house. We knew we had missed dinner. We made it to the, training grounds. Walking up the back porch again we headed to the snack fridge to grab some waters, and a few Tupperware containers of leftovers. Heating them up, we put them on plates, to eat at the counter. "Have you finished all the history books?" Hawk's curious voice reached me. "I think I have a couple more to go." I stopped eating to think. "Anymore questions about them?" Hawk seemed eager to answer. "Not really," I shrugged. "There are some events in Europe that were noted that don't match any supernaturals visit. No one seems to place what it was." I finished off my plate to stand. Walking to the sink, I washed and rinsed it. Hawk came with his, and I repeated the process. I yawned, once I had finished his plate. I felt Hawk pick me up, bridal style quietly walking up the stairs. He opened the bedroom door, and closed it with a tap of his foot. Then placed me on the edge of my bed. I watched him walk to his own. Taking his t-shirt off and leaving it on the edge of his bed. He stood walked past me and went into the bathroom. I looked at the t-shirt, I wanted to hold it and drink in his scent. I followed my urge. Getting up I snatched his t-shirt, walking quickly I went to the closet. Closing the door, I pulled the t-shirt close to my nose and took a long smell. My eyes were closed, when I opened them I seen the closet door open and Hawk looking at me with a raised eyebrow. I dropped my face in embarrassment. "I couldn't help it," I muttered my eyes squeezed shut and my blush in full force, holding the shirt out to him. Hawk's eyes seemed to dance, "No keep it," he smirked. "Some part of me really likes the fact you took it." Then closed the door to the dressing closet.
