Amber's POV
I was sitting in the office with Hawk and Mato. They were going over last minute details while we waited for Mortou, Mato's father to show up.
A brown haired girl with light blue eyes and a sprinkle of freckles on her nose, burst through the office door to skid to a stop infront of Mato's desk near Hawk and I.
"Yes Kayla?" Mato looked up at her with a questioning look.
"The...there is a vampire here and a r..r..really big bear guy." The girl was jittery with emotions ranging from afraid to curiousness.
"Ah, Athens and Mortou." Hawk lifted me up off his lap. Taking my hand, he took the lead toward the front of the house. Mato was behind us.
