The Pull

Episode 2 – The Pull Helen Carter wasn’t supposed to be here. At least, not in the way she was. She wasn’t supposed to make him feel. Not like this. She was a job. A job he didn’t remember signing up for, but one that demanded his attention the second she entered his office. The way her fingers brushed against the doorframe as she walked in. The way her lips parted just slightly when she spoke, her voice low but firm, a mix of strength and something else. Felix caught himself staring. His usual control slipping, and that made something inside him stir. Something dark, something that could only be fed with the danger of proximity. He was a man who thrived on control—on knowing everything and everyone around him. But with her, it was different. Felix had no idea why his heart raced the moment she turned those damn eyes on him. Her gaze was all sharp angles and vulnerability, pulling him in despite himself. "Mr. Blackwood," she said, her voice barely above a whisper, but the way she said his name—God, it was a challenge. It ignited something in him. He stood up, closing the distance between them faster than he intended. The space between them was electric, charged with something unspoken, something undeniable. As he reached for the file on his desk, his fingers brushed against hers. The lightest touch, but it made everything inside him tighten. The sensation lingered on his skin, making him crave more. She didn’t back away. And neither did he.
