Charles’ POV
I spent a good part of the night awake after I left the hotel. Yala's words kept echoing in my mind, especially when she mentioned that Veronica Turner would be working at her hotel. Of course, I didn't believe it. Even though they're close friends, I doubt Aaron Turner would take such news very well. The Smith family name is embroiled in scandals, and as much consideration as he might have for Yala, it's inadmissible in the business world.
I haven't seen Aaron in a while. It would be good to pay him a visit and make sure his daughter doesn’t become Yala's ally. After all, anyone who takes sides with her has declared him or herself my enemy. It's best to warn him, as he knows me well enough to understand I won't go easy on his daughter if she dares to challenge me like Yala
