As soon as I stepped through the doors of the immense mansion, I tried to exude as much confidence as possible, because I couldn't afford to falter among them. While numerous eyes were fixed on me, I kept my gaze on the hosts of the party, well, not all of them, because I made a point of ignoring Charles. Yes, I ignored him on purpose, and I don't even understand why he was so keen on getting my attention. He could have ignored me too, but it seems Charles's days are meticulously planned to drive me insane, and I realized how much he enjoyed spending his precious time making me lose my mind.
However, if he likes making me nervous, we're alike because I love provoking him, especially when I see smoke coming out of his head as if he were a train that just went off the rails. So
