I had mixed up my study notes with Maya's.
I really wanted to get them back immediately. So she asked me to meet her where she was, which was at some club she'd gone to right after our group study session.
Thankfully, there was minimum crowd at the club. Maybe because it wasn't nighttime yet.
I hated clubs. Too loud, too crowded, too much alcohol and flashing light. The few times I'd gone before had always been because of Blair and Bree.
The few times I had gone clubbing or partying was because of Blair and Bree.
I walked through the crowd. "Maya." I called when I spotted her.
She turned toward my direction, her face lights up in a suspicious way.
"Hey Kathy!" She locked our arms together. "Join us."
"No. I'm just here for my books please." I stayed rooted to the spot.
