it took everything in Claw to drive himself into holding up until the conclusion of the evening to really appear up at Cassie’s school.
He’d scarcely rested at all final night, pacing his apartment
like an antsy house cat asking to be let out.
Which … he gathered wasn’t all that distant from the truth. His wolf had been yelling at him with his mate being non- contactable and out of reach, to the point where he’d nearly appeared up at her house and slammed down her entryway fair to make beyond any doubt she was still alive.
Thankfully, he’d abstained from doing that. He did have to say, in spite of the fact that, that he was glad of himself for really having that kind of restraint.
Not that it was much, but hello, he seem celebrate the small things.
