Chapter Sixteen A shuffle of footsteps draws my attention back to the door. I look up to meet the icy stare of Captain Callahan. Right behind him is Detective Rojas. He surveys me with narrowed eyes, then slides his muscular frame through the doorway. “Mr. Olsen,” the captain says, his gaze flicking from me to Eddie, then to the evidence bag. “I see you’ve brought the phone.” “Yes, sir.” Eddie straightens up, handing the bag to him. “I was on my way to your office when I saw Mr. Baxter.
