I waited in the shadows. Alice was late, but what else was new? Alice was always late, which was my biggest disappointment with Alice. She never took things seriously when there was a deadline to meet.
Why else would they only be at this stage of the plan and not where I would like them to be? They should be steps from taking over this pack by now, but Alice and her carefree approach to everything were stalling them.
