Just as Ryan had predicted, rogues rushed along the southern border. He knew that Carter was a traitor to the pack.
“You see, I told you Carter sold us out to the rogues!” Ryan gloated to one of his head warriors by his side. They watched as dozens of rogues pushed through the lines of the heavily guarded South wall.
The Head Warrior, Liam, shook his head. He had his doubts about the Alpha’s sudden change of plan. It seemed risky to have half of the group cut out of the latest update to protect the pack against the rogues. It appeared even far-fetched that someone as decorated and accomplished as Beta Anthony Carter would be working with the rogues against them, but maybe Alpha Ryan was onto something.
“Push ahead, everyone!” Liam commanded under his Alpha’s watchful eye
