Over breakfast, Will availed himself of Dearne’s brother’s most recent copy of the Times and set about looking for employment and somewhere to live with some purpose. Once Dearne’s family returned from York, and he could be sure Dearne was in no danger from them, he would be able to move on, but he needed something to move on to. He noted a couple of smallholdings available for sale. What he really wanted was something he could farm and make enough money to live on. He really needed very little.
