Chapter 4: The Horrible Breakfast

1413 Words
Sebastian’s POV “What?” Alisha asked, her confusion evident in her voice and the infatuation that I saw while she was drunk and when she joined me on the table completely disappeared from her eyes. That’s right, I just said that I wanted her to be Enzo’s aunt in law. It might be stupid but I couldn’t think of anything else to say. I can’t possibly let her go, I love her too much to do that, I’ve loved her since I saw her but then Enzo had her and I had to just stay back and watch them continue their journey of love that ended yesterday. She’s mine now and the last thing that I want right now is to let go of something I’ve always wanted to own for so long. “What the f**k are you talking about?” She asked, her voice so fierce this time that my eyebrow arched in pride. I never would’ve thought that she would have the nerve to talk while I talk but now she’s not only talking back, she’s yelling at me. “No!” She squealed before I even got the chance to say anything else, “I can’t get married to you, I can’t be Enzo’s aunt in law, that would just be—“ her voice trailed off. “That would just be what?” I asked, my eyes piercing through her every being and even though we were having a serious conversation, all I could think about was how I was going to get her naked later. “For one, you’re older than me,” she finally spoke after a while of silence, “and for another reason, it’s forbidden, you’re Enzo’s uncle, you’re an alpha of a rival pack of the one I’m from.” She went on. “I still haven’t seen your point.” I said as I picked up my fork and knife to dig into the steak that was in front of me. “I’m too young for you.” She finally let out. My eyes involuntarily darted to her chest and a smirk made its way out of my lips. “I don’t think so,” I responded before bringing the fork to my mouth, “I just don’t get it, last night you were hurling yourself at me and now you think you’re too young for me?” I asked with a raised eyebrow. “I WAS DRUNK!” She gasped as she wrapped her arms on her chest to stop me from staring at her boobs. My gaze lifted to her face and our eyes met. “And I’m only twenty-two, you’re like thirteen years older than I am. It can’t happen, I can’t be with you.” She affirmed strongly. “Am I too old for you?” I asked, making sure that my gazes were as intimidating as I wanted it to be. Alisha’s jaw dropped as her mouth opened. I could tell that she was searching for what to say but couldn’t get any as she tried to get the word ‘no’ out of her mouth. “Since I’m not too old for you,” I started, her cheeks were red from all the pressure and her nose crunched as her eyes begged me to just stop talking. “Am I not good enough for you?” I squinted my eyes as I reached for the wine bottle and poured her a glass before gently tossing it toward her. Without an answer to my question or even as much as looking me in the eye, she picked up the glass and downed the entire contents. I let out a satisfied smile before elegantly pouring more wine into her glass, she wanted to drink that too when I stopped her. “The last thing we want right now is for you to get drunk again and blame your actions on the wine.” I smiled, her cheeks heated up as she moved her hand away from my palm. “It’s not like you’re not good enough for me,” she started talking and I could tell that it was all thanks to the wine she’d just drank. “I mean, girls fall head over heels for you, they’d do anything as long as you’re the one who tells them to but me…” her voice trailed off. How do I show her that I don’t want any of those girls, she is the only girl I want. The only one I want to spend the rest of my life with. “I’m just a nobody,” she finally said as she laughed nervously, “I’m a lowly Omega and it would do your reputation no good to be with someone like me.” She finished. I opened my mouth but I couldn’t form a coherent sentence so I just swallowed the bile at the back of my throat as I watched her gulp down the wine and choked because of the rush. She coughed and I sprung to my feet as I went to her side so that I could rub her back and reduce her pain. The sound of the doorbell made me pull away from her as quickly as I could and the sound of the heels thumping already told me who was walking towards us. It was Megan, she’s the daughter of my beta and almost the same age as me. She stopped when she got to the dining room, she stared at me in confusion but I only brushed her off. “What do you want?” I asked impatiently, wanting her to relay the information her father had probably asked her to give to me. “Where were you yesterday?” She asked, I forgot to mention the fact that Megan Hoover happens to be one of the people that can talk to me however they please but she knew where I draw the line. My gaze landed on Alisha who shifted uncomfortably in her seat. She wanted to stand but I pressed her down on her seat, depriving her of her freedom at that moment. “Your grandpa, Your brother, my father and I all waited for you the whole of yesterday,” Megan started. “We were supposed to call a truce yesterday but you just went off without telling any of us where you were thereby making us wait all night.” She finished. My head tilted to the side as I took in the figure in front of me. She was starting to piss me off and I could tell that she could see that because she bent her head in a slight bow. “Since when do I have to report to you?” I asked, my blood boiling because of all the days, she chose today to talk to me however she pleases. “Last I remember, you report to me! It’s not the other way around!” I snarled at her and she immediately apologized. “I…. I didn’t… I didn’t mean it like that, Alpha.” She said, her cheeks flushing as she maintained the position of her head. Moving away from Alisha, I walked back to my seat at the table and signaled for her to come closer so she could tell me all she wanted to. Megan and I went over the plan all over again and since I was in a better mood, I didn’t have to snap at her. “There’s a party tonight,” Megan said. She'd finally gone back to how she was if I decided for us to be friends, “Let’s go together.” She smiled as she leaned into me. Megan and I spent almost half our lives together and even a blind man would be able to discern the feeling that she had for me. Indifferently, I shoved her to the side as my gaze landed on Alisha again. I wanted to concentrate on her but Megan was getting in the way of that. “Who is this?” Megan asked, her disgust evident in her voice, “she looks like a fool, ugh, this must ruin your appetite.” She laughed. “Yeah well, kind of.” I said in a calm tone, Alisha had already gotten angry.  “Sorry to bother you,” Alisha coughed as she stood from the chair, “I’ll leave right now.” She added before walking away.
