Gideon stepped into a bright room, and Finn squeezed his eyes shut and blinked rapidly. He must have been in the dark longer than he thought. He struggled to get his eyes adjusted, and Gideon must have sensed his plight. He set him down gently on a sofa and went to the window to close the blinds. Finn released a relieved sigh and looked up at Gideon. His eyes widened, taking in the blood splattered lycan. “Who did you kill?” Gideon looked down at himself. “Two men. They went into your apartment for you. I killed them both,” Finn’s face fell as he took in the situation’s seriousness. He gulped, “two men chased me into the alley. Do you think it was them?” he twisted the bottom of his shirt, thinking how close he came to being taken. It was scary and suddenly it felt all too real. G
