"I love you Isi forever and always" I speak to her back, she doesn't turn to face me to say the three words that make my heart beat wildly when she says them. She just leaves.
I immediately run to the door, everything in my body screaming for me to get her back; to not let the love of my life, my soul mate, go. But I know she needs to leave, I know she's struggled for all these months and because I'm so f*****g selfish I've tried to ignore her feelings just so I can have her to hug and kiss at night.
I have ignored the ever present scent of sadness that has clung to her for almost the whole time she's been here. It breaks my heart that she was so sad, that I made her so sad but I just couldn't tell her to go so she could be happy. Now she's done that for me.
