The Prince's Mistress

I come downstairs empty handed and spot Thaddeus still sat on the sofa but now it looks as though he's sleeping. I smile and walk over giving him a light peck on his forehead but suddenly I'm grabbed by his strong arms, making me scream, and pulled on top of him.

He laughs as my heart beats wildly against my chest "Thaddeus!" I whine, nuzzling into his chest to try and inhale his scent to calm down "You are a cute female" he chuckles rubbing my back softly. I sigh and prop myself up on my elbows as my hands cup his face, my fingers delving into his locks as I look at his sapphire eyes swirling with the darkness of his lycan.

He pulls my face closer and kisses me, nibbling and sucking on my lip until I open my mouth and his tongue meets mine in a kiss full of sparks and electricity. I pull away giving him one last peck as I smile towards him "What was that for?" I ask "You are irresistible when you blush my female"

His words have me blushing even more, I have to look away from him when he growls trying to pull me in for another kiss "Stop it Thaddeus, we have to get going soon" I remind him climbing off of his lap and brushing my dress down.

"I checked the bedroom and I think we got everything. Your clothes should've finished in the tumble dryer and you need to pack them so I don't get my scent on anything of yours" I say, biting my lip as I finish my sentence and turning around so I can quickly get to my bag to distract myself.

Just the fact that I have to ensure not to touch his belongings has an ache in my chest forming, I am practically untraceable in his life, making it seem as though we are nothing - which we will have to keep doing to have this affair be a complete secret.

It hurts though. He calls me his female and I feel like he's mine so as a wolf I want my scent all over what's mine and I want my male's scent all over me - it calms my wolf, making the both of us happy to have stake our claim for everyone else to see. But this arrangement for the rest of my life won't allow for that.

He gets up and starts to pull his clothes out from the dryer, shoving them into his duffle bag "Thaddeus!" I scowl "What?" he questions "Fold them or they'll be creased" I tell him, he simply rolls his eyes and zips up his bag with a smile.

"You are like a mother Isi" he says looking up at me with a soft expression making me want to melt under his gaze "You would be a good mom to our pups" his words have my lip trembling, but I quickly give him a tight smile looking back to my bag as I try to restrain my emotions.

His hand clasps onto my hip gently and he places a soft kiss on my neck before resting his head on my shoulder "Don't get upset my female" he whispers, nudging me slightly. I lay my hand over his "I cannot help it especially when you speak of pups we will never have" my voice cracks as I feel even more upset by saying it out loud.

He sighs and turns me around "I wish we would have them, like we dreamed of" he says, lowering himself to face me "How many did we say 3? 4?" he questions "3" I respond, remembering the nights that we had spent before I even knew he was a lycan or a prince, we'd speak of the quaint cottage we'd get somewhere near the wood, we'd be mated and have three pups; three boys or two boys and a girl - but we knew it was hard for Alpha blood's to conceive a girl so we were being realistic in that we may not have a girl.

Those thoughts seem so stupid now as we won't be having any.

If they're boys or girls it does not matter because they'll never exist.

"I think I want to change it to five" he says with a small smile, kissing me slightly and wiping at my cheek as I notice I've started crying. "Why?"

"Because I want a big family with you, as many pups as possible. All with your beautiful violet eyes or platinum hair - gorgeous" he tells me, I whimper wrapping my arms around his neck letting him pick me up "Stop it" I plead

"Why baby?" he questions, rubbing my back and brushing through my hair "Because we will never have pups Thaddeus, please don't put anymore false hopes into my mind when we both know they will never come true"

He pulls my head back looking just as mournful as I am - grieving over pups we will never have.

"I'm sorry it is like this, if I could change it I would for you Isi."

"You could try talking to the fae King or-"

"No, you know this can never come out - our affair will always be a secret one Isi you know that" he reminds me, completely killing any hope I somehow still try to keep.

I sigh pulling away from him and wiping at my tears "We'll need to change again, maybe wash so our scents aren't on each other" I say "The drive will take two days, we can change before we arrive or I have a scent masker" he tells me, pulling me into a kiss - one that reminds me of what he feels for me, his love for me.

I don't need any pups, just my male I tell myself

"We should go to the spa together, there's one inside the castle and they have massages, facials, a sauna - everything! You have to come with me one day Isilee" Aurelia almost begs as she holds onto my hands her brown eyes sparkling with excitement.

"I'd love to" I respond smiling, feeling the bundle of nerves in my stomach start to dissipate with her presence. We were on our way to the castle. Finally.

Thaddeus and I had completely rid of our scents from each other, and now we were in a different car with Zoltar and Ixion in the front, Aurelia sat between Thaddeus and I just to ensure our scents weren't on the other. We'd come up with a cover story; I was a friend of Aurelia's, we had met when her and the group were travelling around and we'd become very close. I had left Alpha Magnus who I was about to me mated to as I panicked, felt it was too quick and called Aurelia for help, she'd offered me a place at the castle. This was very close to the truth so it's easier for me to get away with, hopefully.

"Great! Dahlia and Seraphina aren't allowed to come very often because they're guards so I normally go with Calliope but she's getting so busy. But now I have you to go with, a new friend!" I smile tightly in response to her words but I cannot help feeling uncomfortable with the mention of Thaddeus' lycan female; Calliope.

Just her name is beautiful, I can only imagine how gorgeous she must be - a lot more attractive than I as she is a lycan, it's in their DNA to be more attractive than werewolves.

My fears are met when we drive through gate after gate, telling me we are getting closer to the castle until we pull up to the huge building with numerous people stood waiting to greet us.

Two females and three males are at the front; two of the males I recognise as Atlas and Dominic, the other male is the King and one of the females the Queen. So the other must be Calliope.

"Is that her?" I question softly, keeping my voice quiet as I'm scared to speak any louder in case my voice breaks "Yes, that's Calliope" Aurelia says waving to them. I feel Thaddeus staring at me, his gaze burning into the side of my face before I turn to him with a tight smile.

"She's beautiful" I say truthfully; she has gorgeous fiery red hair in ringlet curls, warm almond eyes and tanned skin - like a Goddess. Her figure is hugged in a red dress that makes her stand out even more, I cannot help but compare myself to her and I feel unworthy of even being in her presence with my dull grey dress, pale porcelain skin, blonde almost white hair that makes me look so washed out next to my skin compared to her warm gorgeous look. The only thing that perhaps makes me pretty are my purple eyes, but even they look strange on my pale face - why would Thaddeus even look at me when he has her?

"You're beautiful Isi, gorgeous" he tells me, reaching across to gently brush my hand, Zoltar clears his throat "Your highness, touching Isilee isn't ideal, your scents may-"

"I know, I am not an i***t" Thaddeus snarls, bringing his hands back to his lap with an angry look on his face. "Let's go" he tells Ixion and Zoltar in the front who then follow his command and step out of the car "I love you" Thaddeus whispers to me, his sapphire eyes staring into mine with the fierce love burning in them making me blush at the intensity.

The doors open and Thaddeus immediately steps out, from my door Zoltar offers me his hand which I gratefully take as he helps me out of the car "Thank you" I murmur, feeling nerves bubble within me - anticipating what the future in this castle will bring.

Aurelia comes out after me and immediately runs to her brother "Atticus! I missed you!" she exclaims jumping onto him, he chuckles whilst spinning the golden haired female around "You saw me two days ago" he responds "But you are my brother - am I not allowed to miss my sweet brother?" she pouts making him roll his eyes "I missed you too"

Thaddeus has the opposite personality, he simply goes towards his parents and nods when they tell him welcome home; his father grasping his hand and forcefully pulling him into a hug, his mother hugging him as he gives her a kiss on the cheek saying quiet words to her.

Him and Dominic clasp each other's hands, then hug but Thaddeus hardly pays attention to the female; his female, who stands beside him and smiles up at him "Welcome home baby" I hear her words fall on deaf ears, he doesn't even turn to her.

Thaddeus turns to me "Isilee, come here. Mother, father, brother and Atticus you remember Isilee." he says whilst his hand presses to the small of my back and he pushes me forward into their greetings "Of course, welcome to our home we heard of your situation and you are welcome to stay for as long as you'd like" the King tells me making me blush "Thank you, your majesty" I say dipping my head in gratitude.

"Nonsense, any friend of Aurelia's is a friend of ours. Besides we are very fond of your father so will welcome you with open arms" the Queen says with a sweet smile - their words mean more to me than they'd ever know because they are Thaddeus' parents. Their acceptance of me makes me feel like crying.

"Calliope this is Alpha Klaus' daughter, she is Aurelia's guest here but I promised Klaus I'd look after Isilee during her stay" Thaddeus says only after his mother signals to the beautiful female.

She smiles towards me "Nice to meet you, the infamous Alpha's daughter. I hear you broke Alpha Magnus' heart, is this true?" her words have me speechless, I feel embarrassed which only causes me to blush as I look down and tuck my hair behind my ear "I-I just felt we weren't meant to be" I reply.

"I'm hungry, when will dinner be served." Thaddeus snaps moving his body subtly so he stands between Calliope and I, as if to save me from her - I can't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

"You can have something now darling. You must all be starving after such a long road trip, how inconsiderate of me, come along pups let's fill you up"
