Dracula POV. As expected the new girl would be here soon, I kept my eyes and ears open even while in slumber a talent I mastered through the years. The priest although terrified from me, he didn’t dare not to call the town and search for some girl with grey eyes, it wasn’t very easy to find but he did. The girl who was asked to come over had strawberry golden locks, grey eyes, and fair skin, the similarity between her and Milena were breath taking. I was sure she’s the one, I had this feeling inside me calling me saying this year is the year I’ll find my princess again. I was extremely happy, I was hopeful, a feeling that’s just as dangerous as a nuclear explosion, it would kill you, melt your inside and work it’s way to the outside. A slow painful death, but what’s life without a little bit of gambling. You can’t stay on the safe side the whole time, you’ll need to try and gamble, put your soul on the table and hope you’ll be the winner of the night. It’s not safe, it’s not assured, but it’s life, for now I’m waiting for the sun to set, once it was down, I was ready to get up. Leaving my coffin, and getting up. I had a great night sleep, I’m actually excited to start my day, my room won’t be mine alone anymore, soon I’ll have someone to share it with. Getting out of my coffin, leaving the room, I moved to my second room, the one where I can get ready for the day, I washed my face, brushed my teeth, before moving outside to get dressed. I prefer this time clothing style. I got a full on suit on me, before brushing my hair back, I always had slightly long hair, I couldn’t lose the long hair, it was a part of me. My skin lost all color, it’s now a pale white, but my hair stayed the same black color, my eyes, they change color, they’re hazel color in normal days, golden when happy, dark black when pissed off. The eyes are the window to the soul for sure, even mine say too much about me and how I’m feeling. As for my food these days, I only drink blood that was taken off some donors, lot of people would pay me to bite them, but I prefer to have the blood in a glass, preferably laced with wine. But for today I’m having a warm mug of blood, I prefer it warm, it equals the joy of having the blood straight from the vein, but you could enjoy every drop and not risk killing your donor. It was a win-win situation for me at least. After getting ready for today, I moved downstairs in the search for Evan, he was with his wife Grace, happily sipping on their coffee, they knew what today was. “Good morning Vlad” Evan says with a wink, it’s his every night joke, I don’t do morning anymore, but it’s the same, I still smile at that, I wasn’t that cold to break the old man heart. “Looking good sir” Grace says, she doesn’t dare to call me by my real name, it’s either Dracula or Sir, both are good for me.  “Thank you Grace, when the girl got here, just send her upstairs” I say moving to my favorite room in the whole castle, a room filled from floor to ceiling with books, stories, philosophy, biology, law…anything you could imagine, I’d read. Picking one of my favorite stories, I took a seat in my recliner and sat, sipping on my blood, I don’t need to feed often, a glass every two days would be enough for me, but I still prefer to be on full power when meeting the new girls. I didn’t have to wait long, around ten, the new girl made it here, I had my attention turned to the book in hand when the doorbell rang, sitting straight, I waited for my new beauty to arrive. I heard some words being exchanged downstairs, I heard Evan telling her to come this way before he led her toward my sun room, more like moon-room. No sunlight allowed, not while I’m in here, when she took the first step in, my breath got caught, I was sure that the time took me back to when Milena was alive, not just does she look like her, same size, same hair, she had me under her spell until our eyes met. Grey as requested, but just not right there, something was missing, still I was hopeful, still I knew she might just be Milena recreation, back to me from the dead. She simply went through too much before she made it back here, I still smiled at her, trying to sound less intimating than I’m really am. “Hello my beauty” I say unable to hold back the words, she smiles wide at that, who wouldn’t. “Hi” she says filled with confidence, I invite her in like a good host, she smiles and thank me before stepping into my room. She looks around at all the books I have around, before her eyes land back on me, the smile felt forced this time but she still smiles at me before taking a seat opposite to me. “Can I offer you a drink?” I ask her. "What kind of a drink? From what I heard all you have around is blood, unless you asking to have some of mine” she says, the last part was followed by a wink from her. “I'm sure I can find something for you" I say taken back by her rude comment, she tries to hide her impoliteness with a fake smile. “A tea then please” she says trying to hide again behind her fake mask. I nod and call to Grace to make our guest a cup of tea, we sat in the uncomfortable silence for a bit before the tea was served. “What’s your name?” I ask her. “Alice” she says before adding “My family were crazy with Alice in the wonderland” I smiled at that, just a polite smile, I loved that book, it’s a relation between the reality and the imagination, nothing is weird about it. I saw her adding no sugar to her tea, Milena loved hers filled with sugar, I had to hold her back from adding too much. “Where are you from?” I ask her again, Milena was born and raised in these lands. “America, my dad moved us here when I was five” she says, it was weird for me, I knew where America is, I’ve been there more than once before. “That’s nice” I say, there was no real connection between us here, although I’m trying. “What about you, any interesting stories? Wild parties here in the castle” she asks again with the smile that makes my skin crawl. “No actually it’s really calm around here” I say. I didn’t want to bite her, I didn’t feel like having her stay here with me, although she might be my Milena, but I couldn’t something inside me, it said not to! I was lost in my thoughts when Evan got in the room, he looked at me with worried eyes, he just smiled politely at Alice before turning to me. “Sir, can I have a word with you, alone” he asks, “Of course” I say leaving the room and letting Alice stay alone in my moon-room. “Evan, get rid of her” I say, I couldn’t even spare her another look. “Sir” he says, but I don’t stop to hear him, I can’t take this anymore, I took out of my own castle angry, today simply wasn’t my day.
