CHAPTER TEN

"What do you mean she's pregnant?!" Caroline shrieked, eyes widened in shock making Jungkook and Yoongi flinched.
Jungkook's face and lips went pale, his eyes ready to leap out of the sockets as soon as those words came out from the physician. He mentally face-palmed himself for not telling the physician ahead of time. He didn't want his mother to find out yet.
While Yoongi, on the other hand, stared emotionless yet his heart dropped to his stomach. He didn't expect for Ha Na to get pregnant—not that he smelled it anyway.
"How come I couldn't smell anything from her?!" Caroline snarled, making the physician cower in fear.
"I-I'm sure that I heard a heartbeat..." The pack's physician stuttered.
Caroline inhaled sharply. "You mean she's not a virgin anymore?"
Jungkook choked on his saliva, coughing as he heard those sinful words coming from his mother's mouth as his cheeks flushed in embarrassment and shame. Why would his mother talk about virginity now?
"But how come—" Caroline paused, and gasped before looking at Jungkook. "Wait—That night when you were sick...she did it with him?"
Jungkook frowned, and nodded, sealing his mouth shut, not wanting to disappoint his mother.
"Why didn't you tell me, son?" Caroline exhaled, eyes searching for his son's eyes but Jungkook just avoided the eye contact.
The Alpha gulped down, biting his lips before saying. "I didn't want to worry you, Mom."
Caroline groaned, disappointed at how her son didn't even tell her anything that night when Jungkook was so sick, screaming in pain. She didn't even realise about it being the mating bond—how her son felt all the touches that his mate even experienced.
Her blood arises at the thought of Taehyung touching her daughter-in-law when he isn't even the soulmate of Ha Na.
Ha Na only belongs to her son, Jungkook.
Caroline looked at her son with disapproval. "And you even tried to hide her scent from me."
Jungkook looked down. He knew his mother would be able to sense the child in her womb, that's why he hid it with his scent. The fact that her mother came from a royal family—her abilities are extraordinary as well. That's why he wouldn't risk telling his mother. But he was guessing that his mother took it well considering how she was calm about it.
And about that night—he couldn't explain the agonising and burning pain sensation ramming his entire body. He felt every touches Taehyung did to her. The thrust, especially how Taehyung goes deep inside her—he felt everything. It hurts Jungkook and pained him but he can't do anything about it. All he could do was shout, trying his best to suppress the pain he felt that night.
Everyone's eyes jerked towards the person that groaned only to see Ha Na moving her hands. Their eyes widened, suddenly feeling anxiety and excitement in their entire body as they watched Ha Na sitting up on the bed slowly like she wasn't asleep for 3 months.
Even Jungkook was amazed by the sight—especially amazed to the witch who helped him as well.
"Ha Na darling..." Caroline screeched, immediately sitting beside her neice.
Ha Na furrowed her eyebrows, looking at Caroline with confusion written on her face. "Who are you?"
Jungkook felt a pang of guilt. He was the reason why she can't remember anything. He made a deal with the witch.
Last night, after he talked with Yoongi, the witch came to see him. She performed some spell on her to erase her memories, and to top that, she removed the machines that was surrounding her.
Early in the morning, his mother burst in anger for removing the machines that kept Ha Na alive yet Jungkook somehow escaped the rage of his mother by promising her that Ha Na will wake up if he does this. Caroline didn't question his son about it.
"Y-You can't remember us?" Caroline stammered, heart accelerated at the thought of her niece not remembering anything. She looked at the physician who was demented by the situation as well. "How come?"
The physician's eyes widened once he locked eye contact with Caroline. Because of his nervousness, he couldn't help but spout the first thing that comes in his mind that at least could make a sense explanation.
"Her illness must've affected her brain as well," The physician breathed in, explaining. "That's why she can't remember."
Caroline's forehead wrinkled as she looked at Ha Na again who was still processing the situation.
"Who are you?" She asked, backing away a bit from Caroline's touch that sent shivers down her body, and goosebumps. "And where am I?"
Caroline noticed her behaviour, and just did the same to give her space, thinking. The kid doesn't have any memories now, might as well take advantage of the situation.
"I'm your Aunt Caroline," The Tía of the pack pointed herself as she introduced, then pointing at Jungkook. "And that is Jungkook."
Ha Na's lips parted to say something but stopped when she noticed the other person leaving the tent. The person didn't even introduce himself yet.
"Ha Na, darling." Ha Na looked back at the person in front of her who rose up, and stood beside the man whom she knew as Jungkook.
Caroline gripped Jungkook's shoulder who seemed tense, even signalling him to be calm and be comfortable. "This is your mate."
The young lady was baffled, still collecting her basic memories, and eyes fixed with her supposed mate.
"My mate?" She blurted out, and Caroline nodded while Jungkook just stood there awkwardly, rubbing the nape of his neck.
"Mate?" She repeated again. "As in werewolf mate?"
"Werewolf mate." Caroline nodded, confirming her words.
"I'm a werewolf?" She internally gasped, eyes bulging from her sockets in surprise. She wouldn't thought that she would be a werewolf.
"No!" Caroline yelped, stepping forward before chuckling at her daughter-in-law's expression. "You are a human..."
Ha Na took a deep breath as soon as she heard those words and relaxed herself a bit.
"But the Moon Goddess blessed Jungkook with a human, and that is you." Caroline smiled at her. "That is to lead the whole wolf-human species and bare strong pups."
Aunt Caroline smiled, not regretting about suppressing his child inside her womb back then. If she didn't, she wouldn't have a daughter-in-law like Ha Na. The thought of her daughter-in-law being this innocent is perfect for her child. She is perfect to bare her son's child.
A perfect Luna for her son, the Alpha.
"Mom!" Jungkook squeaked, tint of redness spread on his cheeks. His wolf howled in excitement at the thought of his mate bearing his pups.
"Come on, son." Caroline teased, wiggling her eyebrows. "Don't be shy about it. Sooner or later, she will conceive your pups."
"Pups?" Ha Na interrupted the two. She was puzzled about the pups they were talking about. She tried to recall a word pup but nothing came out.
"What is a pup?" Caroline swore that she almost squealed there. She have never been glad that the future Luna lost her memories. How can a person be this innocent and cute?
Caroline who seemed trying to suppress her smile while Jungkook was still there blushing furiously as his mother kept on embarrassing him in front of his mate.
He muttered under his breath, making sure no heard it and mentally growling at himself. "I'm supposed to be the Alpha here."
Caroline pushed Ha Na down back to the bed. "Just rest for now. I'll explain later."
The human nodded politely before pulling herself under the blanket.
Caroline pat her before she stood up and face Jungkook who was still flustered by the situation. "You go out too."
Jungkook raised an eyebrow at his mother. His mother dragged him out by his hands and stopped a few meters away from the Medics Room.
Caroline pointed out. "I won't let you be in one room with Ha Na yet. I don't want Ha Na to bare pups for now knowing that she's pregnant."
Jungkook's eyes widened, and even his wolf purred in distaste. He whined, blushing madly again. "Mom!"
"I'm serious, Jungkook." Caroline said seriously.
Jungkook pouted, nodding and sighed. He looked at his mother, clearing his throat. "What are you gonna do about the f-fetus?"
Caroline scoffed. "It's Taehyung's child."
Jungkook nodded, agreeing with his mother. His wolf even growled at the thought of his mate bearing another man's child.
His mother added. "I don't want a vampire fetus growing inside her belly. She can't handle the pain of giving birth to a vampire."
Jungkook froze, immediately disagreeing yet his wolf felt otherwise. "Mom you can't do that!"
"And why not?" Caroline arched her eyebrows, not amused by her son.
"If you say that she can't handle the pain of a vampire child, how much more to a pup?!" Jungkook exclaimed.
"Whether you like it or not, I will do it. She's your mate and she will bare your pups." Caroline snarled. "That is final."
Jungkook watched his mother storming on her way back to the room. The attack is in 2 days now, Jungkook. Get yourself together!
