Luna (The Sovereign's Soul)

That man had a triumphant smile on his face, "Slide it over." Luna slid it over on the ground, gently, to the side. The amethyst slide over away from both of them. Perplexed, but that man eagerly lunge onto the amethyst. Mewdonis spring towards Connor. While Nolan pounces on that man, sending both of them rolling to the side.

Whack! Nolan took a hit on his abs. He retaliates with consecutive punch. Both of them wrestled on the ground in great effort. Luna scan around frantically and notice the distal tapered dagger poke onto the ground. She crawl over in haste reaching out her hands, but Mewdonis slapped her hand away just in time, "Never touch ones that are still imprinted with velocious chants!" Luna is perturbed, "I was hoping it worked on him."

"I know," Mewdonis replied kindly, took a special lighter from her waist pouch, then took another potion. Luna watch closely at Mewdonis wondering what is she doing. "I can't eliminate that velocious on it, but I can temporarily neutralizes it with another poison." She clicks the lighter, dripped the potion on those daggers and finished with a short chants. "Save to touch but not when cuts," Mewdonis handed those daggers at Luna.

Nolan is pinned on the ground, grappling onto that man's neck struggling to not let him chants the velocious blast. Luna, promptly took the daggers aimed it at that man. It successfully pierce that man's arm. Fssshhh, a sizzling sound came out of it, "WARGH!" he screamed swaying to the side. Nolan took the opportunity to release himself from that man.

Then sounds of a group of pattering foot were heard, they looked up and saw the velocious werecats have gathered on the roof. "What took you so long?! Attack!" that man commanded. "Over here!" Mewdonis shouted running down a narrow alley with Luna. They ran up to her. The werecats were quick to chase. Mewdonis lead them to a hidden alley, swiftly open up a manhole and jumps in, so does others. They've successfully gotten away from the werecats.

When they're inside of Mewdonis lair, Nolan carefully lay George down on the bed inside a room. George breath in great difficulties. Both of his hands trembled in pain. Luna sat down beside him, with redden eyes, "George..." A stream of tears dripped down her ashen cheeks. "Mewdonis, you can neutralize the velocious, please help George," she swiped at her eyes but the tears came any way.

"I did temporary neutralized him at the scene earlier, but it seems worst than I thought," Mewdonis said while grabbing a few bottles from the rack, placing them beside the bed. "The velocious have infected his glove and his glove is still partially merge with his hands, I do not know if this work but I'll try." Mewdonis check on those bottles then mix it proficiently into a bowl. "I need to work alone everyone, Luna, take a rest I'll try my best," she ordered gently at Luna. Nolan lead sobbing Luna out of the room and closes the door behind him.

Connor waited for them outside. The moment he saw Luna, he ran up to Luna, wrapped her in his arms. Luna hugs back burying her face in chest. "This can't be happening, I've lost Peter and now George is..."

Connor held her tightly, "He's gonna be alright, your friend in there is doing her best isn't she?" Luna continue weeping in his chest.

When Luna finally able to calm down a little, she gave a confused gaze at Connor, "Why or how are you here?" Connor peek attentively at Luna, "Remember that day we skipped school?" Luna nodded. "Yeah, you're not being yourself. I can't leave you like that, so I followed you." Luna eyes widen, "What? And how you ended up with that vile killer?"

Connor continues, "I went through the door, it was magical. But when I reached that creature guarded door, someone approached me. He said I won't be able to make it inside unless he help. I was suspicious at him, but he was right and I believed him. He even gave me a collar saying it'll keep me safe if I wear it. Luckily, Mewdonis able to got it off from me. I didn't know who he really is. Luna, everything is very confusing, I don't know what happen or what to believe anymore. And to even see Mr. Nolan, our teacher here? What's going on Luna?" Luna glances at Nolan, who lays on top of one of the rack and pay no attention to them.

"Connor, sorry I've dragged you into this. You deserve to know," Luna then proceed to telling Connor everything. "I'm sorry you have to gone through these alone, I should have be more attentive with you," Connor says apologetically. "You attentiveness isn't gonna help her stop Sovereign's soul being awakened," Nolan made his point from the top of the rack. "From what I heard, she's the only who can stop him. Looks like you can't fight and you uses Luna to fight in place for you, you scaredy-cat!" Connor retaliated. Nolan leap off the top rack, to closely face Connor and hissed showing his fang. Luna instantly jumps in between both of them, "Stop it, both of you! Seriously?"

"We've gotta send him back before he becomes a real burden," Nolan said coldly. "You may be a teacher at school, but we're not at school now. I will stay with Luna, she needs me," Connor declare his intention. "See what I mean? He can't even fight a normal cathonion but will stick with you all the time?" Nolan gestured at Connor irritatingly. "You'd be surprised how well I can fight," Connor clenched his fist. Luna looked at both of them irritated, "Nobody's going anywhere or fighting anyone yet."

"She's right," Mewdonis close the door behind her. Luna jolted over nervously ask, "How's dad?" Mewdonis speak grimly, "Luckily the gloves protected him from the velocious. I'm able to separate the gloves from his hand. So, he is stable now, but still need to rest more. That man wounded George badly. His glove is almost destroyed by velocious, which means his power stone is affected too," Mewdonis answered sadly.

"It's okay, as long as he's safe," Luna says with slight relieve. "A cathonion without his stone is unable to fight with power anymore, he'll be like a retired Cathonion." Nolan uttered in dejected manner. "Exactly. From what I see, this is not okay for George." Mewdonis agreed grimly. Luna understand George very well. He needs his power especially now. Luna clenched her fist, "We must stop this soon before more people got hurt." She turned to Mewdonis, "Didn't you said I have to go hiking to defeat my state of mind?" Mewdonis mildly sits Luna down, "I'll tell you about it tomorrow, for now we need to figure out about your friend." Her eyes darted to Connor.

"We can't send him back yet, it too risky out there now. But he is not even as strong as a cathonion," Mewdonis puts her hands on chin trying to figure out what to do with Connor. "Oh I know, he would stay, taking care of George. So that I can lead you guys up the mountain!" Mewdonis blink gleefully at her idea. "Yeah, good one," Luna agreed with a thumbs up. Connor couldn't argue with that, but to only agree. Nolan is slightly merry at that suggestion. They rest for the night.

Tomorrow morning, George has waken and received the news regarding his condition from Mewdonis. Initially George wanted to follow them, but Luna is able to persuade him. "I'm only gone for the training dad, and can only be done by myself. Besides, you're without stone now, you'll need to rest in order to fight again. Only this time without power." George reluctantly agree, he knows he need to recover well so that he can still fight as a cathonion although without his power.

After getting ready, they went for the mountain by the map that Mewdonis has. "Why the mountain?" Nolan casually questioned. "Haven't you read? Every hero or heroine in story can gain higher power or self realization by going into mountains and do their thing," Mewdonis answered jokingly. Nolan rolled his eyes, "So what exactly we're looking for in the mountain?" Mewdonis referred to her map,"A place for her to get into her state of mind, duh."

After a quite some time or travelling, they reached the base of the mountain. There's a narrow unclear path leading up the mountain. "Phew, we've finally reach the mountain!" Luna exclaim. "And this my girl, is just the beginning of your journey ahead!" Mewdonis ruffled Luna's head giggled at her silly reaction.

"But we've walked all the way here!" Luna grumbled. "I can give you a lift, whenever you want," Nolan offered. Luna gaze at Nolan, who at that moment, seems to be radiating with slight glow. His polar light green eyes returned her gaze with a tender look, which jitters Luna's heart and stomach. Mewdonis snapped her fingers at them, sternly gesturing them to get going. So they went up the narrow path.

After a long walk of hiking, they've finally reached the peak. There stands a monastery so magnificent that its literally glowing from reflecting the sunlight. It has the shape of an elegant cat paw architecture. "We've finally reached, The Cat Paw Monastery!" Mewdonis said in excitement. They went into the Monastery and standing there is an old man. "Mamosa Fluenz?" Nolan impetuously blurted.

"Finally, you're here," Mamosa said calmly, it's like he has already anticipated their arrival. "Follow me," Mamosa walks down a hallway leading deeper into the Monastery. "Mamosa? You know him?" Luna questioned Nolan, before Nolan could reply, Mewdonis cuts in,"Duh, he's like the oldest member at The Wise Catgrates Chamber." Luna looked at Mewdonis quizzically, Mewdonis tried explaining again,"Like...oh-ya like a mayor to a country." Luna nodded indicating she understood her explanation. They then follows behind Mamosa.

They were lead to a sphere room. "You will conquer your state of mind here, Luna. We're counting on you." Luna looks around, its an empty sphere room with tiny circle holes letting only the tiniest light penetrates through it. She's at lost,"But-but I don't understand, its only an empty room." Mamosa vaguely replied, "To defeat what you can't see, one first have to be emptied. To overcome vicious power, one mind has to be resolute." Luna is baffled, but Mamosa left before she could express her confusion.

She turn to Mewdonis, who shakes her head and shrug, "I love to help, but that old man's sentence doesn't ring any bell in me." Mewdonis gave her an assuring pat, "You may have to do this alone, but we'll be outside if you need us. " She smile and left Luna to figure things out herself in that empty room. Nolan came up to Luna, "You've got this. I know you will." Nolan smile confidently at Luna, showing a glimpse of his fang. Luna responded with a firm smile. She knows this time, only herself can accomplish this. Nolan slowly left the room, then closes the door. Luna now alone, sit on the floor in the middle of the room trying to figure things out.

The moment Nolan stepped out of the room, Mamosa has already been waiting for him. "Come with me, Moon." Mamosa walks down the other side of the hallway, Nolan looked on for awhile before treading down along with Mamosa.
