Luna (The Sovereign's Soul)

The Story Book

.: Author POV :.  

When Luna reached home, George is standing by the door. "Luna, you have only 1 class arranged today."

She breathe a sigh and George continues, "Mrs.Cliff had the school called me about it. Explain"

I showed him the book"The cat took it, I have to--"

"Its just a children story book and you missed a class for it?! I have never heard you missed any class, why now?  What am I going to do with you, Luna?" George speaks impatiently.

"You're not 5 year old anymore, grow up!"

    Hearing that, Luna felt a pang of annoyance, "Well maybe, if you tell me what's the ending is I wouldn't be so stuck being a child!" She gave George a discontent look.

    George, pursed his lips as if to stop himself from speaking. Peter came up from behind him and tap lightly on his shoulder giving him the look. Luna seeing that, impatiently continues, "There it is, again! Every, single, time, hiding the the other part of story form me with that look both of you shared!"

"Like you said, its just a children story book why not finished it?" Luna has no idea why is she so worked up over something like this. 

    Maybe she felt like her parents is hiding something from her. Maybe she felt like her parents is making her a fool all these years for hiding the other part of a children story. Maybe because she felt somewhat incomplete because she doesn't know the other half of the story.

"Maybe, my real parents would have told a better story than you," Luna climbs up the stairs leaving George and Peter

    George rubs his forehead with his palm, "Shouldn't have bring that memoir with me". Peter hugged him from behind. "You know, perhaps we can actually tell her the whole story"

"No, Pete. We bring her here to be away from those stuff. Telling her the whole story is like inviting her into it."

"Geo, she'll grow, she'll learn of it one day. "

"Peter, darling, I loved her like our own daughter, I wanted to protect her well. I said so myself to Genieve." George heaved a worried sigh.

    Peter turn him around and looks gently at him, "She'll never know, because it's just a story". George return Peter's gaze with wrinkles between his eyebrow.

"Besides, the more you hide from her. The greater her curiosity is. You know her, we know her"

    George thinks for a moment and Peter continues, "Its just a story. Genieve gave us the memoir to bring with us, don't you think that maybe, at least she wanted Luna to heard of it?"

George looked back at Peter in a somewhat agree gaze.

"Com' on, you need a good rest. I'll settle Luna for you" Peter gave George a pat before going back to the kitchen.

.: Luna POV :.

    I tumbled onto my bed and roll around angrily. Arrgh, what a day! Cats, accidents, books! I don't know why I am so worked up over a stupid childhood storybook. Maybe George is right, I should grow up! But I can't help, I have always been attracted to the storybook. Something or somewhat attracted me to it. I sit up, disgruntled. I took a pillow and threw it as hard towards the door, but it opens. Swiftly, Peter ducked and avoiding the pillow while holding firmly on the tray with plates of dinner on his hand. I felt sorry but I looked away.

    Peter gently lay down the tray he brought on my side table. "Grande," I was pique. "That's her name, fiancee of Moon, the mythic Silent Fang" Peter continues. My eye gleamed, finally the story continues!

"I would like to continue my story while you eat your dinner." I quickly grabbed the plate and chomp on every spoon of mash potatoes. Then Peter continues the story, "Where were we, ah Grande..."

.:Peter POV:.    

Grande a delicate yet cunning cat-shifter. Her beauty is stunningly elegant and adored by many. Moon fell for her the first sight he lay eyes on her during the coronation day of him officially become one of the Silent Fang. She was one of the noble ministers daughter. So she sat quite near to the candidates of Silent Fang and that's how they met each other's eye. Moon was diligent and gifted. He was attentive and vigilant towards every single task, thus making him the best Silent Fang. Pretty soon, he finally got the chance to propose and engaged to his beloved Grande. Everyone blessed them of their love. He is truly happy.

    But like any other heroes, he too had took a fall. Something unexpected happened. Grande, died in his arms on that night. On that full moon night, his life change, took turn for the worse. He was accused of killing Grande, everyone's impression on him change in an instant. Even his future in-law were quick to judge. He was stripped of the tile of being a Silent Fang. Banished to another world by the The Wise Catgrates Chamber. He was never to return until his punishment is served and nobody heard of him since. 

.:Author POV:.  

    Peter ends his story and looks at Luna, who now have long finished her dinner and listening attentively to the story. Sad and disgruntled Luna complained, "But he was never given a trial, at least to defend himself!" 

"He have no way to prove himself not guilty, every evidence and witness points to him" Peter said, sadly.

"He was once noble fighter for their country why can't anybody help him? Nobody stand up for him? Not even one?? "

"To judge a book by its cover, that's who we all are" Peter answered giving Luna a gentle stroke on her hair.

"Well, not me! I would have believed him and help to proof him innocent!" Luna said punching lightly on the bed.

"But, you were quick to judge, darling" Peter eye her teasingly. 

    Luna twirled her finger on the bed sheet, "Well, its just a story. He shouldn't have been so secretive. Cause it feels like you guys are leaving me out."

    Peter hugs Luna, "You're our darling daughter, how could we, Luna."

"Besides, this was never a good bedtime story anyway. George only reads it because you were so into the book the first time you saw it."

Luna let's out a small giggle, "Yeah, you were damn right."

"I now assume you understood what you owed Geo" Peter tap lightly on her nose.

"Yeah. I love you both."

"We love you too, don't stay up late" Peter stands up picking my empty plates on the tray and walks out closing the door behind him.

    Luna sits and yawn then her eyes widen, she covers her mouth with both her hands and blow, "Yikes, bad breathe! Gotta brush my teeth!" She jumps up and headed towards bathroom. Luna does not realized she have left her window opened and left for the bathroom. When she's done, she plop down to her bed; eyes closed, to fall asleep. A moment later something brushes past her face, she felt itchy and rubbed her face and turn to the side with eyes closed. 

"Meow" 

    Instantly her eyelids jolted wide, when she sits up abruptly. A cat. There's a dark blue almost black cat sits on her bed. Then she noticed something, it has the book by its side. Being reminded of what happened previously Luna got agitated.

"You!" Luna reaches out her hand trying to grabbed it. But it avoided her effortlessly and sits under the window. Only then she realized, her windows are open. Luna thinks of something that she sprint to the window in a jiff and closed it, "Haha! No escape now." She smirks evilly at the cat and the cat is somewhat taken aback by her expression.  

    At a moment, Luna catches a glimpse at the cat. Its dark blue hue; almost black fur glistens under the moon light that shone upon it. Beautiful, she thought. But when she was reminded again of what happened earlier today, she shook her head and continue approaching the cat. Suddenly, the cat dropped on the floor squirms around. Taken aback by that sudden action, Luna took a few steps back, confused. 

"A-are you in pain or what?" Shes asks then palm her face realizing she talked to a cat. 

"Of course, it doesn't speak human, I think I should take it to the vet? Let me check if any are still opens-" She says while reaching to her phone on the bed at the back. When she got her phone, she then look back at the cat's direction and find that its size have grown twice larger, she yelped and dropped her phone.

   But Luna notices something seems different. It doesn't look exactly cat anymore. It looks almost human. Just at that moment, all the fur disappeared and it seems to have transformed completely into a human. 

"Ah, ah--ah?" Luna gape unable to let out a single proper word.

    She couldn't believe what stands before her was previously a cat; now morph into a 

tanned, 

tall, 

silk black haired, 

NUDE guy?! 

"Yo-you, what are you!?", Luna shakes her hands wildly in front of her towards him partially covering her vision and her effort in hiding herself blushing is in vain. For a moment, she saw his silk black hair glistens faintly of dark blue hue under the moonlight.

    He walks closer to her, she noticed his apparent abs thanks to the moon light that penetrates her curtain shone upon it. Her vision were initially moving down, but suddenly came to a halt at a view she has never seen, in real life, for 17 years of her life. 

She went lobster red and panicked, 

"S-stay where you are!"

Her breath quickens as she see him doesn't heed her mild warning. She repeats herself

"Just tell me what you want from there, JUST stay there--"

He continues approaching her until they're about a feet apart from each other.

"Clothes" He said softly and grinned impishly.

Still in trance from what she sees before her, Luna hesitantly replies, "Huh, what?"

"Its not fair that only you are having a great view of my naked body," he smirks.

At this point her ears burn up and she can feel herself boiling. 

"Or do you prefer we're both naked?" he teases her while gently twirl a strands of her long brunette hair. Luna took a step back and unconsciously knocked on the edge of her bed causing her to lose balance and fell backwards. On instinct, her hand unconsciously pulled on the guy's shoulder to balance herself but causing him to lose balance too because he wasn't expecting that. Both of them fell on the bed with him above her, inches away from each others nose.  Its so close that she felt his breath on her cheek.

Though he is a stranger but she felt strangely familiar and comfortable with him. Warm, Luna can't tell if she's feeling warm from all of these or its just because their body literally on top of each other.
