Luna (The Sovereign's Soul)

    During the class, Luna is confounded by the current situation. When the class ended, she walks up to Nolan. Noticing that, Nolan still walks out of the class, this makes Luna increases her pace. She went out the class and saw Nolan walking down the hallway, she jogged slightly to catch up to him. Then in the front he stops to turn right. "Hey, wait up!" she called out to him, but he continues on walking down the path and went into the library. Luna follows. When she stepped in, he was not in sight anymore. Luna went in looking for him by peeking into every shelf she passed by. She walk and walk until she came to the last shelve by the end corner of the library.

    Suddenly, she was tucked away, mouth covered. She was pushed up against the wall with Nolan's palm on her mouth. Nolan is pressed up against her, her breath quickens. She caught a whiff of scent for being so close to Nolan. This smooth minty aquatic mix with a tinge of pleasant sugary aroma tickled her senses, it smelled almost like minted melon.  "Don't scream, I just want to talk," Nolan whispered to her tenderly. He is so close to her ears that Luna can feel his steady breath flutter not only her ears but her heart. 

    Unable to speak, Luna nods to show Nolan she is willing to comply. So, Nolan slowly puts down his hand. Luna took a deep breath and whispered rigidly, "Why are you here? I thought you will not be able to turn into human at your will?" Nolan looks around,"Its not convenient to talk here. Certainly not seen together like this. Meet me at my house in a while. I'll have Elena pick you up later." Finishing his sentence, he does not wait for Luna's reply and went off. Leaving Luna standing there panting reviving the brief moments they shared.

    Luna pondered a while before she went out of the library. The moment she stepped out, a lady with medium length, berry colored hair approached her.  "Hi, I'm Elena. I believe master have summoned you. Come with me," She said, placing her hand on Luna's shoulder leading her out of the school.

    Upon arriving, Elena brings her straight to the study room. The same room when she first came here. "Have a seat, Master will be ready soon." with that being said, Elena walks out closes the door behind her. Luna walks around the room, this time taking her time looking at a everything in details. There's globe, papers, and whole lot of books arranged neatly on the huge shelves that cover up the entire wall behind the study desk. There's the roller ladder on the shelf in case one would like to reach out to the higher shelve. She approached the desk, glances around the whole table only to notice, that Nolan has complicated tiny mechanism work in progress scattered around his desk.

    "I'm a genius, huh?" Nolan speak walking up from behind Luna towards his desk, slump casually onto his seat. "What's this?" Luna asked, curious. Nolan gave off an impish smile, he took out his sapphire stone place it into the concave cylinder that has the band by its side. She then realized the tiny complicated mechanism she saw is a watch. Noticing her amazed reaction, he lifted it up and wear it at his wrist,"Now, I have my sapphire with me at all times." He gives off a satisfying smile.

    Then Luna remembers her questions again, "Hey, don't you have some explaining to do?"

"Oh, yeah that." Nolan lightly rubbed his neck awkwardly, "I, I have to do what I have to do, you know. Besides, I'm looking for someone too. You haven't told anyone about me right". 

Luna stay silent for awhile before answering,"Yeah, about that. I kind of shared it with my best friend, Connor?" She flashes him an awkward smile,"Well, that was before you said to not tell anybody! So technically I'm not guilty! And he doesn't know how you look."

 Nolan, raised an eyebrow, then he gives her a mischievous look, "Well then, *sigh*, I'll have to do what I've got to do, to you-know, shut him up." 

Luna gasps, "No, you wouldn't!" 

To which Nolan replies, "I'm a cat-shifter, try me." 

Luna is annoyed, "Well, you kinda lost your power, so what can you do?" 

Nolan flashes his new watch, "It took me years but I've finally successfully enhanced this, now I can shape-shift whenever I want. I'm a vigilant silencer if I may say so myself." 

Luna grunted, letting out a resentful sigh, "I'll make sure he doesn't talk, so you just leave him alone." 

Victorious, Nolan requests again, "and I appreciate if he or anyone else doesn't know Nolan Ezra, can cat-shift."

    Luna give him an irritated look, "Now that you're done talking, its my turn."

Nolan intrigued by the question gesture her to sit down on the chair in front of him. Luna still standing makes her bargain,"You have business you like to attend to, here, and I need assistance regarding the Cathopia." Luna does not wait for Nolan to reply and continue speaking,"We can both work together, its a win-win situation"

Nolan places both his palm together, crumpled his eyebrow, "And what do you think you can offer to genius like me?"

"You seems interested about the storybook, and nobody knows more about that book than my dad himself. I can help you check up on it with my dad." Nolan is almost fascinated, its as if god is by his side, now that she can help him asks anything he wants to Peter without him meeting Peter! It'd be much convenient that way. "And I'm expecting you will make your request too," Nolan asks her.

"Yup, in return, help me learn about Cathopia and ultimately, take me there." Luna made her request keenly. Nolan, is taken aback by her request. He stands up pacing up and down beside his desk. Something is bothering him at this point. 

    Worrying that he's not taking up the offer, Luna thinking hard trying to persuade him further. Then she remembered something she saw previously, at the store room when she grabbed Nolan some clothes, "That sign! That triangle ear-shaped sign that's similar to one of your fancy door, I've have it on papers-yes. Th-those ripped out papers with some ancient words written on it." Luna, starts to speak anxiously.

       Nolan at this point, his attention is gripped by what she told him, "Purrantheas, you saw it? That, triangle ear shaped monogram?"

Luna catching on that she's got his attention, she intent to keep it that way, "Yes, that shape I saw it! The Purenthis--?"

"Purrantheas," Nolan cuts in correcting her pronounce. 

"Yeah, yeah, that! Its in my store room, I can get it for you. It might help with whatever your business is." Luna peek at Nolan, who now in deep thinking. Then he turned and nodded. Luna leap in joy, but regained her composure again, "Its a deal then, we will exchange information with each other. Then lead me to Cathopia too."

"You have my word," Nolan answered firmly tho reluctant about it. "So, what you like to learn about Cathopia?" 

"Everything!" She answers eagerly. 

"Hah, okay let's start with lifespan. We Cathonian have longer lifespan than you humans."

"Longer how?" Luna c****d her head to the side.

"Like we can lived up to thousands of years when you humans may only lived around past hundreds."

"Woah, how old are you now?" Luna asks shockingly.

Amused by her reaction, he replied proudly, "A couple of hundred years."

"NO-way, you're that old?" Luna said in disbelief. 

"Still as attractive, its considered young as Cathonian." Nolan shrugged. Luna was astonished she nodded as if she learned something new and fascinating. 

    Suddenly she thought of something, "Then my dads must have lived for quite some time!" Nolan, nodded, "For your information they lived much longer than I have." Fascinated, Luna sits closer to Nolan and bend nearer to him. Nolan, heart jolted a little, but he remained composed, "I see you're starting to be honest in being attracted to me." Luna rolled her eyes, "Yeah, I'm attracted to Cathonians  not a flirty feline." Nolan, looks over teasingly, "So, you think we're flirting?" Luna pouted when suddenly there's a knock on the door. "Mr. Quez has arrived," Elena speaks from behind the door.

"Well, class dismissed," Nolan stands up to take a jacket by the hanger, slip into it. 

"But we've got so much yet to learn!" Luna exclaim.

"Patient is virtue. How bout tomorrow, after class. Bring that note you said you saw." Nolan stands up walking over to his door, opens it up. Luna tried giving him some puppy eyes, "I haven't ask about my parents yet, my actual parents."

 "Puppy eyes don't work with me, I'm a flirty feline, remember?" he c****d his head indicating Luna should leave now.  "Tomorrow," Nolan give her the gentle command. Luna pout and reluctantly dragged her feet out.

       Elena was already waiting outside, she lead Luna out to front door. Luna looked back and saw Nolan, speaking to a man in his 50s. That man took a glimpse at her, stopped in motion and pointed to her while talking to Nolan. The door slowly closed behind her and Elena lead her into the car.
