Unprecedented Fate

They've walked for some time and came to a door. It has and embossed Purrantheas on it. "The legendary Purrantheas room? Wicked! Might be containing the oldest secrets that ever exist for Cathopia!" Mewdonis exclaim excitedly. "I like to have my words with Moon, alone." Mamosa sternly demand. Mewdonis slumped her shoulder, "Okay." She stepped away leaving them alone. After Mewdonis left them, Mamosa poke on the Purrantheas and the door slide open. Mamosa stride in followed by Nolan.

"That judgement night was a scene we played out to trick the real culprit out of its den, my faith in you has never changed," Mamosa speaks as he randomly tap on the tiny drawers of wall. "Grande, Genieve, Ethan and...Venus was on a secret investigation entrusted by me, that is to find out who planned to have Sovereigns awaken again." Mamosa pondered with downcast eyes.

"So me getting punished was all a play to find out the real culprit who wants to revive Sovereign?" Nolan asked quizzically. "Yes and Grande's death was unfortunate, Venus is blinded by his own dark purpose," Mamosa speak with a grim expression.

Nolan's attention instantly twitched at the name,Venus. "Why send Grande Instead of me, a diligent Silent Fang?" Nolan got agitated. "To keep it hidden from prying eyes. Grande was an excellent appointee for this, no one knows she has outstanding investigation skill. It'll be easier to lead the enemy astray from the investigation. Unlike an excellent Silent Fang, it'll attract unnecessary attention. However, it seems I've chosen a fox to guard the hen house."

Mamosa continue, "That man who attacked you all on the market, is no other than Venus himself. By obtaining the Amethyst he will stand a chance to revive Sovereign's soul and the rest will be dark history if he succeeded." Mamosa finally tapped on the last drawer.

"Their death is unforeseen , I just never expected my most eminent student would've harbor such sinister intention that it blinded him and have grown so strong with such vile power." As Mamosa speaks, one of the drawer at the far end popped out. Mamosa gestured with chants and something inside appeared on his palm. "The others Catgrates have heard of my explanation," Mamosa open up his palm and held out to Nolan. "It is time, for you to come back, Moon." On Mamosa's palm it was the Onyx, Nolan's power Stone.

"We must not let Venus sealed our future," Mamosa gave Nolan a deep gaze. Then Nolan took the Onyx from Mamosa, grip on it tightly, "If this is what Grande gave her life for, I'll make sure it'll not be in vain." Mamosa solemnly gazed at Nolan, "Also, should the Amethyst is not strong enough, Onyx will be the perfect catalyst. At least that's what the ancient manual mentioned."

"Not strong enough?" Nolan raise an eyebrow. "Unprecedented fate. Not even a hint from The Whistling Wind anymore," Mamosa stroke his long whiskers-like mustache. "This has never happened before, Nolan, protect and assist Luna at all costs. I hope I'd still be around by then," Mamosa said with troubled expression. Nolan nodded to Mamosa command.

Inside the empty sphere room, Luna is scratching her head. The more she forces herself to figure things out the more frustrated she is. "I've got to think of something! I can't breathe easy on this yet," Luna puts her head in both her hands. "My, my, would you like to cast a breathing spell instead?" a soft chuckle was heard from behind her. Luna turned around, she saw Nolan leaning on the door frame.

He walks over gave her his hand, "Mamosa only lead you to this room, he doesn't mention you can't leave it." Luna looked at his hand, just when she's about to answer, her stomach let's out a growl. She instantly blushed. "Come, we'll get you some food first," Nolan said pulling her up from the ground. Luna's leg is numb from sitting too long, so her legs quivered when she stands. She wavers and fall into Nolan's chest. Nolan grabbed onto her shoulder helping her gain balance again, "Lately, you've been falling for me a lot." Nolan chuckled. Luna looked at the floor flushed from his words. She thought maybe, just maybe, she might be falling for him?

After the dinner, Luna try to finds her way back to that sphere room again but she end up in a park with tall trees instead. "Found ya," Nolan poked his head out from one of the tree. "Why're you eager to leave the dinner table just now?" Nolan striding up to Luna. "I just couldn't take my mind off, I could not see the wood for the trees," Luna is dispirited while expressing her concern. "But you found this tree park here," Luna looked away. Nolan places his hand on Luna's shoulder, tenderly lifted her chin up then speak again, "I've live long enough to know that you are a girl who have her wits about her," Nolan said to solaced Luna. "But this time, I can't think of anything!" Luna speaks on edge. Nolan reply with a tender smile, "Then don't."

Luna blinked, her eyes widen, "You're right, don't think! It was so obvious I overlooked it!" Her expression bright up again. "Looks like you've think of something," Nolan mentioned with a smile. Luna is overwhelm and hugs Nolan tightly. Nolan is startled by her sudden uplifted hug, but eventually enjoy her warmth. "Now I just need to go back to that sphere room, that room is perfect for emptying one's mind!" Luna quickly ran off leaving Nolan who stands there looking at her.

A few moments later, Luna came back to Nolan, "Urm, could you possibly lead the way?" Nolan snicker softly at her, "Just what I thought." As they walk down towards the room side by side, Nolan took a glance at Luna. He finds her amusing at times. Every time he sees her, it alleviate the pain in his heart. Its been so long since Grande, that he felt this way.

Suddenly, Luna turned to him. Nolan pretended like he's looking far away into distance. Luna felt like recently with all these things happening around her, she is grateful for having Nolan by her side. Then Luna smiled and said, "You may be annoying and flirty, but you can be nice and cute at times too, just like your fangs." Nolan raise an eyebrow, "Many find me charming, stunning and irresistible but never cute." Nolan cringe a little at the word, 'cute' Luna chuckled, "Ha-ha some cat doesn't like being called cute."

Nolan gave a short, mirthless laugh, but then mischievously look at Luna, "Well I can change your mind in a jiffy." With that said, he places his face a few inch away from Luna's. Luna is startled that she took a few steps back, "Wh-what are you doing?" With an impish smile, Nolan continue to step forward for every steps back that Luna take until she is backed up against a pillar.

Luna try to slid off the side, but Nolan block her path by placing his elbow on the pillar and another hand at the opposite side. Gradually, Nolan's left hand descended till it brushes the side of Luna's hip, all the while tantalizing her with an enticing smile and a suggestive gaze. Luna's heart drummed rapidly, her ears starting to burn a little, her eyes couldn't look away from Nolan's intense gaze.

Both of them shared the gaze for each other a few moment. Captivated by Luna's gaze, Nolan is slowly giving in to his intuition, leaning forward. Now they're so close that they felt each other's breath. Nervous, Luna doubted if she wanted this but still shut her eyes tightly don't know what to anticipate next.

A few second passes, what's anticipated seems to have paused. Nolan jolted lightly, came back to his senses and pulled away from Luna, Grande's came into his mind. When Luna opens her eyes again. Nolan lightly tap on her nose, "Guess I've made my point. If you walk straight down, you'll find that sphere room on your left." Then Nolan leaves hastily before Luna could said anything. She could only blinked confusedly and blushed at what she's experiencing earlier.

Nolan sneaked back to the room provided to him. Leaning his back on the wall, he slowly let himself fall onto the floor. His thought and emotion are in disarray. "I thought cats always fall landed on their feet." Mewdonis waltz in his room, proceed to sit on his bed facing Nolan. "Your sense of humor are blind as mole." Nolan mocked jokingly. "Blind? At least I'm clear about my feelings for Luna," Mewdonis said laying her side onto the bed.

"Something's about her that captivates me, but.." Nolan sigh looking at the ceiling, memories of him and Grande filled his mind. "You're attracted to Luna but still thinks about Grande," Mewdonis give Nolan a side glance. Nolan brushes the side of his bang and let out a troubling sigh. "Make up your mind, or I'll make her mine, cat." Mewdonis sat upright, "Just so you know, I'll be pursuing Luna too." Mewdonis tapped on Nolan shoulder and leaves him to his thought.

In the sphere room, Luna sat in the middle. Her mind replayed the scene earlier, over and over again. The butterflies in her stomach jitters, her chest is drumming again. "Ugh, are these feeling for real? or I'm just confuse it with everything that's happening around me?" Luna rustled her hair. Then she sat upright, "No, I've got to focus! Dad and Connor is still waiting for me back there." Luna practice to rhythmically breathe in and out.

"To defeat what you can't see, one first have to be emptied. To overcome vicious power, one mind has to be resolute." what Mamosa said echoed in her mind. So Luna, breathe and slowly let her mind emptied itself. Gradually, the sphere around her burnt away, wind blew brushing her face. Luna deliberately open her eyes. "Whoa," she's amazed by what she sees before her.

Surrounding her is now clouds tinted in slight crimson. Whoosh! Luna reflexes allowed her to ducked avoiding something that flew past just above her. A roar is heard echoed in the sky. She lifted her focus to where the voice were emitted. It was an albino creature that shimmers under the light of the sun ray. ROAR! It roars mightily in the sky, before flying over, landed on the same circular ground that now Luna stands on.

Now, stands before her is a creature that Luna has never seen before. Its strong dragon wings flaps producing gust of strong winds. It march elegantly on two hinds legs that of a panther. As it swing its powerful cat-like tail, Luna gradually lifted her focus to see that the creature has a strong upper body resembles female human with the face of a lioness. It's strong resolute blue cats eyes sets on Luna, unwavering.

This wondrous creature took Luna's breath away. It looked so magnificent that Luna can't help being astounded by the creature. As she admire the creature, it gets into launching stance in Luna's direction. It let out a low purring growl and starts charging towards Luna.
