"I'm Nolan, Nolan Ezra, from the Easterhn Village, Cathopia." He answered. Luna eyes enlarge upon the word Cathopia.
.:Nolan POV:.
She's shocked beyond her words and have now dazed out for quite some time. Why does she not know? What else Peter was hiding from his daughter? Come to think of it, I've never seen or heard Peter marrying a wife back then? He married to human in mundane world?
Now, I feel bad. Revealing stuff beyond her understanding. I gesture one of my servant who stands ready by the door, to send her home.
"You should get some rest today, and, please keep my shape-shifting a secret. It'll be inconvenient if this gets out." I said to her, but she barely gave a response. I may have shocked her bad. I see my servant lead her out of my room. I took a deep breathe. Now I'm at lost again. The storybook is the only clue. The ripped out page seems to must have contain the answer I want.
"I need to meet her dad, Peter." I crossed my arms wondering how should I meet up with her dad as I'm almost convince he wouldn't appreciate what I just told to his daughter. Especially when I've told his daughter something that he's been working so hard to hide from her. He must be mad. Come to think of it, I don't see any resemblance of her and Peter. Daughters should at least, have inherit a bit of their parents right? I seek back every memory I have of her to compare and think of the first time I've met her.
Her long straight brown brunette bounces by every step she took up the stairs. But something peeked out from her bag that interests me. I followed her to have a closer look. That, is a handmade memoir. I know one when I see it, a handmade memoir book is unique in Cathopia. Every one of it looks unique and different from the each other. And this particular one, has the ancient hardcover paperback in dark purple. Why does this girl have it? Who is she? I need to know.
So, I followed her silently until she reached her class. This is a perfect opportunity! I stride carefully to her bag then quietly try retrieve the memoir. Before I know it, I unconsciously dragged it a few feet back. What's this? L-U-N-A ? That's her name, I guess? I want this memoir book, it may have the answers I want. I try to flip the book but I can't.
Darn these paws! "Meow!" I let out a resentful meow.
Shit, I looked up, and yup, she's looking at me. Should I? I only need this book for awhile.

1--Run with it!
I took off running with the book with me. I chuckle, thinking back how her face looks running after me. That simpleton fella is quite entertaining at times.
Then memories of that night flooded back to me. I remember her warm skin, blushing face and flustered reaction. I chuckled again. Because I remember how dumbfound she is when I shifted to a human under the full moon in front of her. And she was making that cute face when I tried teasing her. My heart tickles remembering whatever happens that night and I let out some chuckle here and then.
She can be charming, in her own gullible ways. She looks so silly with those round eyes of hers. So, credulous. An earlier scene of her tying her hair in front of my hallway, now played back in my memory. Her hair gently flutter when the wind make a circle on her. Then I remembered, The Whistling Wind, approached her just now the moment she step into my house. The Whistling Wind never approached without a reason. I wonder....
.:Author POV:
Its been days since she found out about Peter from Nolan. She hasn't been herself since then. She often stared into empty space trying to fathom what she could process in her mind. She felt like, she have never known Peter, her father, since she was a baby. Why, being secretive? Why, telling Cathopia as if its just a story when, he actually came from there? Does George knows? Or George is the same? more and more question pops up in her head.
"Luna!" George calls out to her. She snaps out from her trance. "Peter has been asking would you like to have pretzel with soda or sandwich with blueberry drink for our picnic this weekend?"
Luna turns to look at Peter, who looks back innocently awaiting her answer. "Oh, Uhm, whichever's fine," she smile faintly, rubbing her neck awkwardly while looking to the side.
"Luna you haven't been yourself lately, anything happened?" George asked, worried.
Luna looks at George then to Peter, who both look at her, concerned. "Uhm, I'm fine. Just fine. Oh, look at the time, gonna meet Connor, gotta go! Bye-luv ya!" Luna sprint out and took off with her bicycle headed to Connor's house, "I need to be sure." She said to herself.
George looks at Peter, dazed, "I thought she was over the teenage period. Does 18 still counts?" Peter shrugged.
"Bookstore? Why?" Connor asks at Luna invitation.
"I was so caught up before, that I didn't realized I can just buy a new one if I ever lost or damage it. Now, I can just buy new one so I won't be so bothered by its ripped out page!"
"Great idea, except that you can't find it anywhere at your nearby bookstore" Connor replied while typing away on his phone.
"What? Why?" Luna exclaimed, flustered.
"Apparently there's no such book being published at all. I tried searching online, but nothing about its publisher or its author. It's as if, this book doesn't exist." Hearing what Connor said, have just confirmed her suspicion. "How could I, not realized this all these years?" She asks herself as if condemning herself to be so oblivious.
"Connor, suddenly, everythings not right anymore" Luna looks at Connor, perplexed. Knowing that look every time she's serious about something; Connor knew somethings's up, "Something happened the day you when with the men in suit, right?"
"Tell me, what happened?" Connor asks, ready to be giving her all his attention.
"I don't know, I couldn't get my fingers on it--" Luna was cut off by an ear pitching shrieking laugh.
"Janice!" Connor's attention diverted to a group of girls approaching their direction, his eyes gleamed while Luna rolled her eyes, "I just can't understand why you're so into her?"
Janice and her clique saw Connor and Luna, "What you looking at, loser?" she snickers at them before walking away in her short tight skirt and a leather jacket over her crop top singlet.
"Dayum, ain't she spicy?" Connor eyed her admiringly. "Ugh, wake up Con, she's the typical school b***h, com' on," Luna annoyed, slapping Connor's shoulder to get him off from his fantasy. "And you're just jealous, she's hotter than you, hah!" he says while evading Luna's punch that were halfway heading towards him.But they doesn't know that far from the corner of the school building, someone is stalking Luna in the shadow.
Luna came home, George greeted her, "Hey, just in time for din-aren't you having dinner?" Luna goes straight upstairs, before coming down again with the storybook. Dazzled, George looked at her,"I thought you no longer need us to read you bed time story?"
"We need to talk," She walks over to the couch expecting George to follow her, then Luna continue, "We all need to talk" She gesture over Peter, who's cooking dinner at the kitchen." Seeing her been so serious, Peter and George exchanged looks with each other. Then Peter, puts off his apron came up to them, "What's up, anything bothering you?"
George and Peter took their seat on the couch in front of Luna. She took a deep breath, flipped the storybook to its last page and place it on the coffee table in front her. She pointed to the ripped page,"There's more than just an ending here, I need to know"
George purses his lips, clearly unsettled by her question. He then look towards Peter, who was faze by her questions for a moment but return to being calm. "What are you hiding from me, Dad?" Luna stare into Peter's eyes while he return her with a calm gaze. "This is not a Storybook, its a memoir," Peter reply, George swing his hand and tapped on Peter's knee nervously. Peter put his hand on top of George's, "We can't hide this forever, from this moment on, it's up to fate." George, couldn't make up his sentence and stay silent. "This book is a memoir that written down what happened that night" Peter gave Luna a solemn look and continue,"What I'm about to tell you, is the details from this memoir that we left out, or in this case ripped out."
"Peter, stop this is unbearable," George plead gently. Peter squeezed George hand sympathetically, turns to Luna, "Luna, brace yourself. You're not gonna like what I'm about to say, but I think you deserve to know." Luna listen intently.
"This is the memoir of your mother, Genieve." He nodded to George and George stands up and walks off for a moment, but later return with an old photo. He reluctantly hands it over to Luna. Slowly, she reached out and took the photo. "This is your parents, your mum Genieve Isolde Lidia and the man beside her is obviously your dad, Ethan Mason Fang." Luna, look carefully at the photos, places her fingers on it and gently slide over their faces, "Mom? Dad? ...They are...charming" Luna sobbed softly. Finally meeting her real parents for the first time. "Why didn't you show me before this?" Luna, now with redden eyes filled with tears asks Peter. "We couldn't bring ourselves to tell you what dismay that happened to your parents that left you orphan now," George replied with crack sobs. Luna turn her eyes back to the photo again and Peter resume,
.:Peter POV:.
Moon was once a great legendary Silent Fang, until the day he was found guilty of killing Grande, his fiance. He was stripped off his title and was sentence to punishment by The Wise Catgrates Chamber. Everyone was quick to judge, then, there's Ethan. He stood up for Moon at the trial. Asking the The Catgrates to at least let him proof himself innocent. Of course, Moon was not allowed to leave so hindering him from proving himself innocent. At that time Genieve stepped in front,"I volunteer to investigate it." Ethan took her hand, "We, volunteer to do so." Murmurs rises around the trial room. The Catgrates whispers among themselves, then suddenly one of the oldest Catgrates roar, "Silence!" the old Catgrate demands. It cleared his throat, "Considering both of your current honor as our Expatriate Mediator, we allowed you this pardon." Genieve and Ethan bowed, "Thank you, your Catgrates."
"However," The old Catgrate continues,"3 months or he shall be banished to the mundane world, stripped off of his title and his ability to cat-shift at his will for however long the punishment were ask of him to serve."
"3 months it is," Genieve replied confidently. But they didn't know, there's a bigger plot behind all this and what awaits them after that.
