.:Author POV:.
Everyone look intently at Jackson as he start speaking again,
"Runs forever with roaring calls meant waterfalls. Because it runs indefinitely and when its waters hit the bottom, the splashes create roaring-like sound of waves. You'll likely to find your next clue at this waterfall."
Everyone pondered and agree, then Jackson proceed to next one,
"Seeking turn that grants access meant the key. Because a key need to be inserted and turn to unlock a door. However, in this context, it meant an abstract-kind of key."
Nolan c****d his head to the side, "How so?" Jackson continue,
"Once it's gain it'll establish, The Prodigious Unity of all. This meant if the key is obtained, then the stones can be merged."
Quez pondered and ask, "What is this key then?" Jackson stroke his chin, "There's only one way to find out." This time, Grayson finally spoke up thought of something, "Misty Forest have only one waterfall, the one I frequently played at when I was a child." Everyone understood, Nolan was first to speak, "That's where we'll be going."
Connor reflecting on current circumstances, then speak up to get it clearer, "Okay, we need to get to the waterfall to find the key clue, so that these two stone holder can merge their stone?" Quez stroke his whiskers, "It seems so." Connor pondered, "Doesn't the grimoire mentioned it how?"
Quez cracks a chuckles, "That's what I thought when I studied the grimoire, but it doesn't mentioned how. Only then I notice this piece of paper is stuck there, in between those pages. Then Grayson came and you know the rest." Grayson shrugged, "At least dad got to meet up with Mr. Quez just like how he planned." Quez nodded, "Its amazing how fate works."
"Alright, anymore discussion will have to be tomorrow, my dear needs some rest." Dently said, wrapping up the discussion. "You need to rest more my friend," Quez patted lightly on Jackson's shoulder. Jackson replied with weak nod. Then they all left the room. Grayson went off straight to his room, Nolan discreetly followed him.
.:Nolan POV:.
Not seeing how is Luna right now bothers me. So I discreetly follow Grayson till we've reached his wooden hut. He went inside, while I sneak up to the window. I see Luna is lying on the bed, half-asleep peacefully. I'm glad she's doing fine. When she heard Grayson she sit up straight, seemingly smiling at Grayson. She...seems happy.
The thought of her giving me a slight look when she found out I am Moon shrink-ed my heart. As I looked on, Grayson gently lifted a strand of her side bang to tucked it behind her ears, I can't help but felt the bitterness in me. It reminds me of the first time we met, I twirled her hair and she blushed. I was just teasing her back then.
How is it when I saw someone did it now, its eating up on me? My focus is back on the window. Luna is smiling, perhaps she's happier...with Grayson? At least, he has nothing to do with any of these. Then I saw Grayson lean into Luna, I promptly looked away. I know I couldn't bear to watch it. I need to go and get some fresh air.
.:Author POV:.
Nolan leap away from the window, went off. Till he reached a lonely corner of those wooden hut and houses. Givane saw him sulking by the corner, came up to him. "You look better with a little impish expression," Givane try to strike up a conversation. "You think?" Nolan smirk sadly. "Want to talk about it?" Givane ask handing him a glass of drink. "I...don't know," Nolan took the drink and rubbed his forehead with his palm. The emotions he's having are in disarray.
"You must have love her, if you're this dejected over her," Givane took a sip from her cup looking into the night sky. Nolan lifted his gaze from his palm and muttered, "Love? I...love her." Givane smiled Nolan, "Just because, you and my sister were lover before, doesn't mean you can't love again." Her words somehow lifted a burden. A burden Nolan thought he had but never existed. "You loved my sister. Now its time for you to moved on. Wasn't going to be easy, but you'll learn how." Givane give Nolan a reassuring grip on his shoulder.
"You look so much like her, I didn't realized it before," Nolan said while looking straight at her. "Yeah everyone said that, and I'm just as proud about it. My sister is amazing." Givane looked at the stars. "She shine more than thousands stars. I miss her." Nolan empathize Givane, he knows what it feels like to miss someone but never got to see them again.
He tries to comfort Givane, "Actually you're amazing, you know that? If my heart isn't stolen yet, it could be yours," Givane laughs knowing what Nolan is trying to do. "I haven't seen you for long, but this seems more like you," Givane grinned clink her glass with Nolan. Both of them enjoyed the drink while reminiscing the old times when Grande is still alive.
.:Luna POV:.
I blink to open my eyes, my drowsiness still lingers. Then I heard someone opened the door, I sit up to see Grayson coming in through the door. "I see that you're comfortable in my bed," Grayson tauntingly said to me. Still lightheaded about everything, I could only give an awkward smile as a reply. Then I tensed up a little, "Did you just said...my bed?" Grayson seems amused by my expression.
"What happened?" I asks while my drowsiness lingers on. "There a fire on your wooden house, and you fainted inside," Grayson took a glass of water, handed it to me. I'm drink it and reflected back, "All I remember is that I woke up dizzy and everywhere around me is smokey." Grayson expression darken.
"Is everything all right?" I asks. Grayson sadly said, "I'm sorry, because me, Ashley did this to you." I'm a little surprise, but thinking back. I guess Ashley really do love him that much huh? "Well, you've saved me, all that's matter right?" I try comforting Grayson. But then I recall, seeing glimpses of Nolan in between those fire and smoke, or am I imagining stuff?
Grayson slide my strand of hair on the side onto the back of my ear, "I would give in anything, just to keep you save." Honestly, I'm touched at what he told me. How could he be so nice to me, when we've just only met? I smiled kindly at Grayson. Suddenly, Nolan flashes at the back of my mind. Why does Nolan keep invading my mind like that. I was so busy mind talking to myself, that I didn't realized Grayson was looking at me affectionately.
Slowly, he lean closer to me seemingly going for a kiss. Uncertainty raises inside of me. I could let us kiss, is this what I want? Grayson, though a bit rough by nature, but he can be very attentive at times. We're getting closer and I have no intention to resist it nor do I have the intention to want it. Guess I'll just sit here and let the flow takes its course.
Clunk! Something fell on the ground outside of the window. Both of us startled by it. It evoke my senses again. Maybe I shouldn't be rushing things, so I spoke to wrap things up "I..I guess, I'm a little tired. Can I have your room all to myself tonight?" Grayson stunned a little, but regain himself again. He lets out a little chuckle, "Maybe I'm rushing things." He stands up and walks away, "Tonight, the room is all yours."
Why do I feel guilty about it? What I did, was it wrong? "Grayson!" I called out. He stop his track and looked back at me. "Thank you, for everything," I said gratefully. Grayson smile affectionately at me, "At least let me love you, until I found my mate." I blushed, because he just confessed his feelings to me. Grayson left without anymore words.
.:Author:.
Grayson closed the door behind him. Lets out a heavy sigh. If that kiss were to happen, he would not be able to control himself. He'll be regretting it, although he wanted it. He doesn't want to do something that will hurt Luna. He knows Luna seems a little distracted from him. He knew Luna might be in love with Nolan, but he can't stop himself from falling in love with her. Maybe this all will ends when he found his mate. So, until then, he'll just love Luna. That night he spent his night at one of his friend's wooden hut.
The next morning, everyone gathered at Jackson's room again after breakfast. "In Misty Forest, its best not to travel in large group. To avoid unnecessary issues," Grayson stated. "Yes, larger group are easily lead astray, unless you're a werewolf," Dently mentioned in support of Grayson. "So, I'll guide the stone holder to the waterfall," Grayson speak monotonously. "Which one of you are to be merging stones with Luna?" Grayson ask looking around the gathered crowd.
Nolan step out, "Me." Both of them exchange cold glare with each other. "Aren't there any other stone holder?" Grayson sneer slightly. "The grimoire mentioned that Onyx is the best catalyst for Amethyst stone," Quez stated while reflecting on his memory. Dently senses the tension between Nolan and Grayson, "We'll have one more person join you guys, just in case you need a helping hand."
"Me," Connor volunteered. "No, Connor, its too dangerous. You can fight but you're at higher risk than any one of us," Luna mentioned out of concerned. Connor couldn't disagree to that. George then came up, "I'll go." Luna looked at her dad, "Are you sure about this?" George smiled at his daughter, "Mewdonis is still healing, Connor is just a human, Givane will be staying with her father and Quez is treating Jackson. Tho I've lost my power, I'm still a strong Cathonion."
"Very well, we'll move after lunch," Grayson said concluding the discussion. When everyone dispersed to their own agenda, Connor went to Luna, "Stay safe." He and Luna hugs tightly as Nolan and Grayson watched on with slight envy. Connor then release Luna and turned to Nolan, "Come back, safely." Mewdonis came up from behind him went in to hug Luna too. "I'm sorry girl, wished I could go with you. *cough*" Luna gently pat on Mewdonis back, "No worries, rest well and we'll see you in healthy condition when we're back."
"Let's grab some lunch and prepare our journey ahead," Grayson said leading everyone out of the room. When they stepped out of the room, Ashley is already standing there waiting for them.
