1690

217 Words
The year is 1690. Outside of a colonial Salem, Massachusetts. When you see Elizabeth Rebekka Marsh, you wouldn't think she was an evil person. Whom had sold her soul to the Devil himself. You wouldn't think that a young girl at the ripe age of sixteen years old would just turn to evil.  Elizabeth was quiet girl, Her mother, Martha, and her father, Aaron, had always said that they wouldn't even know Elizabeth was in the room with her. If it hadn't been an open room cabin. You see the Marshes were not the richest family in the Salem area. That was reserved for the Putnams and Bishops. But Aaron did all right with the fur trade. And Martha would sometimes get rewarded with a tip of some sort for the food she would provide for the church. Elizabeth didn't seem to mind living out in the woods away from everybody of the busy Salem.  Elizabeth liked school, but the children made fun of her out of fear of not knowing her. So her mother thought of pulling her from the local school house and teaching her how to be a woman. Cooking, cleaning, gathering the eggs, milking the one cow they could afford to keep around. Feeding the horse that nobody wanted around except her father.
