Chapter 8 Rather than engaging the bike’s navigation system, I followed the roads heading southeast towards the city. I’d driven this way enough times to know the route. About halfway to Montreal, I started wishing I had taken one of the cars in the garage. The sun was out, but the air was crisp and cool, the smell of autumn on the wind. Below me, many of the trees had already begun to change color, donning vibrant hues of vermillion and gold to replace their usual summer greens. I’d forgotten how quickly the seasons changed this far north.
