Charles wiped his sweaty palms on his jeans and adjusted his mask for the umpteenth time, to make sure that no one recognized him. He had dumped his old mask which had stopped above his lips, in exchange for one which fully covered his face. Like the old one, this new mask was black, smooth and expressionless. Charles knew it would be next to impossible to discern his face whenever he wore the mask, but he did not want to take chances, so he put in contact lenses which turned his eyes light blue. After waiting for almost half an hour for his nerves to stabilize, Charles took the plunge and walked out of his car. He muttered calming words to himself as he rounded the corner.
