“Eden, what do you think? Will the Valente Ground be okay with you?” Gideon asked, his voice smooth and full of pride.
Eden tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and smiled softly. “Sure. Their fish dishes are delicious.”
That little smile of hers nearly made Gideon float. He straightened his collar and whispered, “As long as you’re happy.” Then, lowering his tone even more, he added with a self-satisfied grin, “I just bought a BMW Z4. Why don’t we go together in my car?”
Eden nodded slightly. “Sure.”
That one word was enough to light Gideon’s entire world on fire. “Then Eden and I will go first. You guys can all take taxis — I’ll cover the cost,” he announced grandly, waving like a celebrity before walking out with her.
