First Floor Boss

1007 Words
"What is this door?" Alexander wondered upon reaching the end of the first floor of the dungeon. Alcatraz, who was standing behind on the sidelines, shouted to the kids, "That's the door toward the room where the boss monster of this floor is residing!" "What is a boss monster, boss/big bro?" asked the four kids beside him. Upon hearing his father, Alexander couldn't help but be excited deep in his mind. When he heard the question of the four kids beside him, Alexander excitedly said in response, "That's the strongest monster in the dungeon! In order to reach the second floor, we must defeat it!" Zandra and the others became excited as well upon hearing Alexander's response to them so they looked at him with an exciting expression. 'I am thinking of asking them if they are ready but that doesn't seem to be a problem!' Alexander thought to himself as he looked toward their eyes. After a few seconds, he said to them with a smile on his face, "We are going to take this monster boss, then! Before that, we can rest here to recuperate our energy!" Zandra and the others immediately celebrated upon hearing Alexander's decision. Meanwhile, at the sideline, Samuel asked Alcatraz, "Do you really think that they could take the boss on the first day?" Alcatraz was slightly worried as well but he said to Samuel upon hearing his question, "Well, they already exceeded my expectation so they might be able to pull it off at their first time! If they can't, then, we can just rescue them!" Samuel did not object to Alcatraz's perspective on the matter. In fact, he was appalled as well when it comes to the capabilities of these kids they were observing. Alexander and the others decided to rest for half an hour until they decided that it was enough to fight to their full capabilities. There are no monsters that tried to attack them because they almost finished the remaining monsters inside the first floor of the dungeon. It was going to take a day at least before new monsters will be reborn so that's why they could rest without a worry. "Dad! Uncle Samuel! We are going to enter the boss's room now!" shouted Alexander after they managed to rest. Upon hearing him, Alcatraz and Samuel immediately went toward their side so that they could enter the boss's room alongside the kids. After their arrival, the five kids decided to open the big door toward the floor boss together. "Where's the boss?" asked Alexander after they opened the door. "The boss is somewhere out there! Good luck, you guys!" said Alcatraz as he and Samuel went on their toward the sidelines of the boss's room. As soon as they did, Alexander and the others were able to hear a screeching voice that made them cover their ears. "WHAT IS THAT!? Suddenly, a huge goblin jumped in front of him. Alexander and the others immediately back away from their previous location. "So the boss of the first floor is a Goblin Lord!?" Samuel could only say upon seeing the boss of the first floor. "Well, it's stronger than a hobgoblin but it is manageable to defeat with the right strategy. I think Alex knows a thing about this because he often asks me some questions about dungeon monsters while we hunt," said Alcatraz in response. "That is a Goblin Lord! Let's regroup, everyone! We must retain our formation! Oliver summon your familiar while I summon mine to buy some time!" "Roger that!" said the four in response. A moment later, both Alexander and Oliver shouted at the same time. "Summon: Dire Wolves!" "Summon: Shadow Minions!" Upon shouting those words, Alexander summoned a portal where two wolves came out while Oliver created three minions from his shadow. "Buy us some time!" commanded the two in unison. Upon hearing their masters, the dire wolves and shadow minions immediately charged toward the Goblin Lord without a moment of hesitation. The attention of the first floor boss was directed toward those summoned familiars so Alexander and the others decided to use this chance to regroup after they distanced themselves from each other when the Goblin Lord suddenly attacked. Using the huge blade it holds with both hands, the Goblin Lord slashed all the summoned creatures without blinking an eye. Fortunately, Alexander and the others were able to regroup when it happened so they immediately charged toward the boss of the first floor. Alexander, William, and Zandra served as the front liners of their team so they were the ones that attacked the Goblin Lord head-on. The first one the floor boss tried to attack among them is the one with the largest weapon so it went to attack Zandra. Fortunately, she was able to block it so she was just thrown away by its great force. Both Alexander and William used this chance to attack the Goblin Lord but it managed to block the completely due to its great instinct. While both Alexander and Williams clash against the great sheer force of the floor boss, Oliver decided to use his great agility to stab the Goblin Lord to multiple parts of its body. Although his speed can help Oliver some chance of not getting hit by the floor boss, his strength was not enough to cut deep through the thick skin of the floor boss so Oliver was only able to give the Goblin Lord some scratches from his attack. "I can't do some serious cut in this monster!" said Oliver as he panted after giving the floor boss consecutive attacks using his daggers. "Hit the vital spots if you can! You can damage him more if you hit those spots!" shouted Alexander as he and William try to defend against the Goblin Lord. While they were fighting in the frontline, Sophia was constantly shooting arrows while trying to hit the eyes of the floor boss. After all, she can't pierce through the skin of the Goblin Lord. "I'm back!"
