As much as I love tools of destruction, including plenty of them deemed illegal by various corps, even I have lines I won’t cross. There are some weapons that are so categorically horrific they’ve rightly been banned by every major and minor corporation in the ring.
For instance, tailored biotic weapons, or assassin bugs as some call them, are one class of outlawed weapon. Engineer a nasty pathogen and tweak it so it only attacks individuals with specific haplotypes—that is, particular combinations of gene variants—and then unleash the beasts and watch as everyone with those combinations dies.
