Episode Eleven Dueling pistols are peculiar weapons. Sleek and trim, they only fire a single shot before needing to be reloaded. I’ve seen a half dozen or so models and, because the guns don’t hold a magazine, their styles tend to be small—easy to hold and aim with a single hand. Of course, they’re often considered illegal because pistol dueling is illegal in most corp territories. The few exceptions are corps that make a profit off the medical charges their employees incur, and therefore, don’t care if employees engage in duels. See, pistol dueling is rarely lethal. The pistols themselves are underpowered compared with more conventional sidearms. Plus, they only fire a single shot.
