Dark clouds threatened with rain as I ran to the bus with my basket of grapes. I didn"t know if Nix liked those, but that was what they brought in movies, so I figured I couldn"t go wrong with that. The bus hissed and splashed water against my shins. Great. With my bandaged arm tingling from the sudden exercise, I heaved myself on a seat and held the basket tight. I hoped Nix slept well in the hospital and that her family had come to visit her. From our last meeting, it was clear they didn"t like her being gay, but still... She was in a crash.
