The call ended. For a brief moment, silence filled the luxurious apartment. Lena Carter slowly lowered her phone, her lips curling into a faint, amused smile. “What a family…” she murmured under her breath. Behind her, a man leaned lazily against the headboard, watching her with a playful glint in his eyes. His voice was smooth, teasing. “So… you’re traveling?” Lena didn’t turn immediately. She walked toward the vanity, setting her phone down with deliberate calm. “Yes,” she replied simply. The man rose and walked toward her, slipping an arm lightly around her waist. “That didn’t sound like a small trip.” Lena finally met his gaze through the mirror. “It isn’t.” He studied her reflection. “Will you be gone long?” Then Lena smiled—slow, knowing. “Very long.” The man chuckled softly, clearly intrigued. “That serious, huh?” Lena turned to face him fully, her expression unreadable—but her eyes sharp. “Let’s just say…” she said lightly, “…I won’t be needing distractions where I’m going.” He raised an eyebrow. “So I’m a distraction now?” Lena stepped closer, her voice calm but seductive. “For now, you’re exactly what I need.” The tone alone was enough to change the conversation. Then get down and give me one of your specials'.He whispered and she obeyed which was one reason he was obsessed with her,her tongue flickered against his tip before she took it all in...... sucking and sucking until she gagged and he grabbed a hold of her hair. ‘Beg me Lena '.He muffled his groan as he went in deeper not caring about her throaty screams, ‘Beg me'.He repeated and quickly pulled out when he came.He couldn't get it up the second time so they were quickly dressed and ready to have a good conversation. Do they know what you do for a living now? He asked her. But Lena didn’t reply because her mind was no longer there. It was already in the Sterling mansion. ****** Moments later, Lena stood up and leaned by the window, wrapped in a silk robe, staring out at the glittering city lights below. Her phone rested in her hand. Her reflection in the glass looked different. It was cold and calculating.. A small laugh escaped her lips. “The Sterling family…” she muttered, her eyes darkening with quiet amusement. “They still want me.” She tilted her head slightly, as if tasting the thought. “After everything…” Then her smile turned almost mocking.“And I don’t even love their precious son.” The words were soft—but merciless. Zander Sterling. Once upon a time, she had cared.Or at least… she had thought she did. But love was a far stretch, she never loved Zander. What she had loved was what came with him. Status. Power. Influence. And now, they were offering it to her again freely. “Well, since my modeling career is dying…” she murmured thoughtfully, “…why not choose the best available option?” Her lips curved. “After all… a Sterling wife isn’t something just anyone becomes.” Her fingers typed quickly as she booked her flight . She didn’t hesitate. Within minutes, her flight was confirmed. A soft chime sounded. Lena stared at the screen for a second… then smiled. She picked up her suitcase and placed it on the bed, already planning her outfits, her entrance, her strategy. The airport terminal buzzed with quiet activity, but Lena moved through it like she owned the space. Her heels clicked softly against the polished floor as she walked toward the boarding gate, feeling confident and untouchable. She paused briefly at the glass wall overlooking the runway. Planes lined up under the dim glow of runway lights. One of them would take her back to power, to a man who once couldn’t let her go and to a family already waiting to welcome her. A slow smile spread across her face. “Aria…” she whispered softly with quiet certainty. “You won’t even see me coming.” Because this wasn’t just a return. It was a hostile takeover.
