Isabella's things were gone by Thursday morning. She had not done it quietly. Roman noticed the evidence one piece at a time as he moved through the penthouse. A scratch along the side table where something had been dragged out without care. Marks on the bedroom wall where frames had come down in a hurry, the paint slightly torn at the edges. A bathroom cabinet standing open, the marble shelf inside wiped clear, a pale ring left behind where her products had sat for seven months. He noted each one without stopping at any of them.
