Chapter ThirteenPerry Brumfield was a small time criminal and con man who wanted people to think he was more important than he was, and nobody missed him after he was gone except Karen Wardlaw. Probably her sister would have missed him, too, if she hadn't predeceased him. Karen and her friend Bill came by later the same morning after Rico was long gone. The live-in maintenance man let them in. Karen knew who killed Perry, but she didn't say a word. Neither did Bill.
