Chapter FifteenBecause he was a minor Jeffrey's name hadn't been mentioned in any of the press accounts of the killing, but word of his involvement reached the grapevine nevertheless, and inside the factory where Beverly Phillips worked assembling vacuum cleaners, accounts of what had happened spread like high school rumors of teenage s****l conquests.
