Chapter EightBen Yanders's murder was the lead story on the evening news of all the local TV stations. The police had no suspects and no clues – at least that's what they told the reporters. Paul had immediately suspected that the bullet that killed Ben was meant for Sandra. He remembered Ben switching places with her just before the shooting and told the police so. That theory made even more sense to the police when they learned that she was the witness to the recent carjacking and shooting. The gunman must have been aiming for her head, which reached about as high as her father's chest.
