“Aouu…” she groaned even though the weight upon her didn’t let up nor did the heavy sounds of gunfire.
Terrified, she couldn’t help but be grateful for whatever fell on her, knowing that it was definitely the only thing keeping her safe.
A few more seconds passed and when the rapid sounds of shooting and gunshots stopped, Deli still felt her eyes ringing and her heart pounding rapidly in her chest.
Still, she didn’t dare to move, look up or try to look around. She continued to lie on the ground perfectly still even after the weight on her was gone and she felt nothing but the night breeze against her back.
“Don’t even think about it…” An authoritative but familiar voice rang out in the air, one Deli was tempted to raise her head to see who it came from but her legs still felt too weak
