“…I’m just stepping out to meet a friend. It's not something you need to worry yourself about,” Deli said, straightening her back, trying to appear even more honest than she usually was.
“You can go back in and I’ll even say hello once I’m back,”
“You know I can’t do that…Ma’am.” Hasin instantly replied, the second Deli was barely done talking.
The smile on her face slowly withered and died, as she turned to head for the stairs the very next second. She had spent a while with Hasin and she knew that there was nothing she could say or do that could convince him to do otherwise.
She would have tried to use money to bribe him but unless she had more than Talon, there was no hope of her being able to succeed in the slightest
