CHAPTER TWO

Cole never expected that Audrey would return at this time. She had always been obedient for all this years that they had been together. Cole’s experience with Audrey was of someone who always did as he said; if you told her to go right she wouldn’t go left and if you told her to jump, she wouldn’t walk. Why she dared to disobey this time, was something that Cole couldn’t comprehend, why didn’t she return to her parents’ house as they talked about?

He opened his mouth to explain, “Baby listen to me”.

Audrey looked at his disheveled appearance, with the water she threw in his mouth sliding down as he tried to speak only to choke on the rest of the water as it slid down his throat. Though it looked funny, she only looked on at him with some scorn and contempt.

“Well Cole I don’t think there is any need for more explanation between us, just get out”.

Before she came here, she honestly wanted to beat up Cole till every single bone in his body was fractured. She wanted to show him that she was a black belt golden karate holder, but standing here right now looking at his stupid face, she felt there was no need to dirty her hands for such scum. He was better left with the rest of his stupidity.

Audrey said as she walked towards the door, “Get out, take your b***h with you and return to where you came from. Make sure you never come back, I never want to see your face again".

Cole quickly pulled out completely from the person underneath him. Audrey was able to catch sight of the other’s body, realizing that there was nothing worthwhile there she dismissed the nonsense as she scolded them both in her heart ‘Nonsense!, it doesn’t look as good as my own. Though this current body is inferior to my previous at least it was more curvy than the b***h lying there. Thank God this scumbag never wanted to sleep with the original owner, it would have been a real shame to be this body’s first’.

Cole quickly crawled out of bed and stretched out his hands, wanting to hug Audrey. This infuriated her so much, she directly kicked out her leg, kicking the approaching body back to the bed.

“Baby, listen to me”. He struggled to sit back up.

Audrey crossed her hands over her chest and said indifferently, “don’t bother explaining, you both are stark naked, what else is there to explain?, or should I have raised the duvet hiding your spills and ask you ‘what game are you both playing? Did you both accidentally spill milk here’ is what you want me to do”.

“No baby, I just lost my mind for a while. You know I have been waiting for you, I really didn’t mean it. I got seduced and unknowingly fell for the temptation.

What greeted Cole was Audrey’s deadpan expression, “oh, I see, then get out”.

Placing his foot on the floor with a half kneeling posture, Cole tried explaining again, “Baby I…”

“You what! Tell me, you what!” Audrey snapped, “I am telling you to get out and you are still here talking bullshit, are you trying to offend me or are you just plain stupid. You think your acting is going to get you forgiveness? If you don’t get out of here this instant, I promise I will beat you up and you better best believe that it wouldn’t be pretty. I will beat you until you can’t walk”.

Cole still didn’t understand. He thinks that Audrey is just been heartbroken which just translated to a temporary anger, he is really convinced that Audrey really loves him and would definitely not hit him. All this words are just words spoken out of anger, with a little coarsening, pleading and tears and a little pitiful act, Audrey would surely forgive him and this issue would pass.

So Cole decided on a different approach,with drooping eyes and a guilt ridden look on his face he tenderly said to Audrey, “Baby you can definitely hit me, I know I did you wrong this time. As long as you can let out your anger, I promise I won't be angry”.

Audrey looked at his false tenderness and was absolutely speechless. Seeing her not moving, Cole felt his conviction strengthened and looked up at her, “Do it. I can bear it. As long as I can appease your anger, I will do anything”.

Audrey looked dumbfounded this is the first time she has ever seen someone who rushes up to receive a beating. What game exactly is he playing?

“Hit baby!” Cole closed his eyes with a determined expression on his face.

Audrey was really shocked by him, “so you are telling me to do it?”, she asked doubtfully.

“Do it baby. I know that every fight brings a couple closer, so you hitting me is also a symbol of love. It proves that you really do love me”.

Audrey laughed mockingly, “Then you really misread your baby, she is hitting you because you are a big fat scum!”, as Audrey said that she lifted up her leg and kicked him ruthlessly.

Cole who was hit hard was caught off guard, as he sprawled on the floor with dizziness flooding his senses, he was confused. This isn't meant to be the case, the drama he envisioned was not like this! How could his baby really hit him, where was the soft woman he knew, where was the love he had gotten accustomed to. She really did hit him, and dared to do it so fiercely!

Audrey immediately got on top of him and began throwing punches, when she felt it was okay she got up and rotated her wrist, “f**k i haven't hit anyone for a while, and this body is really too fragile, just this bit of punches and I already have a hand-ache”.

She raised her head and saw Cole's unbelievable eyes bruised, widened with shock and pure disbelief. Audrey couldn’t help but laughed out. Cole disbelieving face as though unable to accept reality looks like a dog, a sad dog which she finds funny. Audrey shook her hand as she looked at Cole's bruised and swollen passed out face ‘could it be that just these few punches were so heavy that they could make his face into this pig headed individual?’

As she thought about it she turned her head to look at the girl still on the bed, but now shivering out of shock and fear. She opened the closet and took out two pieces of men’s and women’s clothes, she threw them on the bed and said in a cold voice, “Put them on and get the hell out. Make sure you take him with you, I am sure you can do that right?”.

The girl immediately nodded her head like a rattle drum. She just saw Audrey’s brutal beating of Cole, and she thought of when Cole said that his girlfriend is as soft as a rabbit and as gentle as a dove, then what exactly is this? What sort of rabbit is this? Is it a rabid rabbit, or a mad rabbit or a carnivorous dove? She really can’t wrap her head around it .

The girl shuddered as she dressed up Cole, and as soon as she was done Cole regained consciousness. He was so angry as he struggled to get back to his feet with his angry pants coming out in waves, he pointed at Audrey with bloodshot eyes, “you stupid b***h, you dared to hit me? Audrey you seriously dared to hit me, I can see it now, you are really heartless. Your conscience has been eaten by dogs”.

After spewing out insults, Cole rushed up wanting to retaliate, but as soon as he came close to Audrey he found himself been lifted and slammed on the floor with a big bang. The girl shrank her head as she looked on with a silly expression ‘this is the third time’.

Audrey slowly stepped out in front of Cole and said as she looked at him condescendingly, “I not only dared to hit you, I also dared to continue hitting you again and again and again. I promise to keep on hitting you anytime I see you”.

She smiled and looked at Cole in anger and lowered her voice as she said softly, “Previously I was mentally sick, but I assure you that no one can be sick for a lifetime, everyday is said to be for the thief, but one day is for the owner and today my blindness has been cured. You are a dirty garbage, a very disgusting person so I can really say that It was my fault for been blind, I know I deserve to suffer. But from today onwards, we are now strangers, when we see each other on the road, we can say hello or we can ignore each other I don’t care, I am grateful that we are both clean and never had any intimacy, but if you ever dare to try nonsense with me again, I promise I will beat you up so much you will see yourself at the hospital. Don’t worry I will pay for the medical expenses”.

Cole gnashed his teeth, “Audrey you are just a slut, you can fool everyone with your fake act, but you can't fool me. You think you can ever be touched, no one will ever love you, you don’t know but you are just too fake to be lovable. You are not a woman, you….ah!”

Audrey stepped on his middle key part, she pressed down on it indifferently as though it was just a stone underneath her feet, “I have told you that I have a terrible temper, did you really think I was just joking with you? Why don’t you continue talking s**t, let's see how much nonsense you have in your mouth”.

She pressed for a while before she slowly lifted her feet, raising her head she looked at the seriously frightened call girl standing at the corner, “what are you doing, take him away right now! Or do you also want a taste?”

She shook her head desperately, walked out of the corner and dragged Cole to leave. Cole tensely continued to glare at Audrey, his face reflecting the hatred in his heart, Audrey raised her eyebrows, “Are you still here?”

The girl pulled Cole, seeing him still standing, she persuaded him, “let’s leave for now, you can figure it out later”.

Cole was unwilling, but remembering the beating he just received and feeling the pain in his third member, he frighteningly and grudgingly allowed the girl to pull him out.

Seeing them go, Audrey wanted to leave as well, but then remembered that Cole had the spare keys to the house, what if he came back again? She searched the internet for a nearby locks and doors company and searched for a nearby plumbing company. She also searched for a cleaning company to come clean up the house.

Audrey took advantage of the time to pack all of Cole's things in a box, placing them directly into the trash can in the corridor for the trash company to take care of. After settling everything, she took the new key and went to her parents house.

In Audrey’s memory, the original owner rarely came home. She was always on the road for work, so her family rarely appeared in the novel. Therefore Audrey wasn’t sure about the character of the original parents and sister. She opened the door, took off her shoes and walked to the sitting room only to see the original owner’s sister sitting on a sofa. The TV was on, but wasn’t watching it. She just sat there sighing.

“What’s wrong sis?” Audrey asked as she walked over and sat beside her.

Sharon replied as she looked at Audrey with confusion and sadness, “The Benson family came earlier. Hudson Benson’s mother came to remind mom and dad about the promised marriage. They said that Hudson Benson already agreed and came to make sure that we were also on board. Knowing about my sexuality, they asked for you instead. Mom and Dad know you already love someone else so they are really confused on what to do now. They don’t want to force any of us
